Congrats Chilli.
Side note- it’s too bad they’re not D2 anymore. With all respect to every SE district school, Chilli is the best team this year. When looking at the SE district/regional, they could very easily of been a final 4 team this year.

Not even debatable they’d be in the regional finalsBernieKosar wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2020 9:23 pm Congrats Chilli.

Chillicothe 62
Marysville 48 a final ...
... this one was ALL Chillicothe ... it started with great D by the Cavs and ended with good D from the Cavs ... Jayvon Maughmer/Vincent Roper shutdown the Marysville #1 option - Jack Christian - holding the hot shooting guard to 6 points all in the first half ... visibly frustrated throughout the contest ... not a bad equation for Chilli the Big 3 of Maughmer (18) + Noel (12) + Beard (19) + TEAM D => W's ... not much to be unhappy with for the Cavs - possibly their reliance on the perimeter shot rather than going to Noel on the blocks ... possibly their less than Chilli-like effort on the boards ... both are being picky as the Cavs advance to Rd 2 vs Pick North next Wednesday night ... Chillicothe 62 Marysville 48 a final
... Pfloyd's official "UN-official" Napkin Stats - Marysville
Scoring ... Joey Duke 12, Garrett Taylor 12, Gabe Schaeffer 7, Jack Christian 6, Ryan Bartow 6, Evan Brown 5
3 Pointers .... 5/16 ... Joey Duke 2, Ryan Bartow 2, Jack Christian 1
FTs ....... 5/9
TOs .... 10
PnP ...... 14 fgs/ 28 points in the paint
PnT .... 0
Pbck .... 3 fgs/ 6 point on putback buckets
... Pfloyd's official "UN-official" Napkin Stats - Chillicothe
Scoring ... Tre Beard 19, Jayvon Maughmer 18, Brandon Noel 12, Eli Taylor 7, Vincent Roper 4, Kamron Smith 2
3 Pointers ... 7/22 ... Tre Beard 3, Jayvon Maughmer 2, Eli Taylor 1, Brandon Noel 1
FTs ..... 7/11
TOs ... 7
PnP .... 14 fgs/ 28 points in the paint
PnT ..... 4 fgs/ 8 points in transition
Pbck .... 5 fgs/ 10 points from putback buckets
Dunks ... 1 ... Brandon Noel
... ALWAYS good to get that first one under your wings when being invited to the OCC post season party in D1 !!! win number , at home - survive and advance ... live to play another day ... Cavs will need to cleanup the rebounding ... 49 points from the Big 3 of Maughmer/Noel/Beard - well done Cavs ! best of luck 3/4 vs Pickerington North !!!

No problem. The crazy part is that The 6 districts in Ohio can have different methods to support a common tournamentwipala wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2020 10:05 pm Lucas Davenport. Thanks for info, did not know this. Been gone too long.

Don’t think that is any disrespect, just a good honest opinion that few would disagree with. Now that being said they’d still have to go out and win each night, just like they will have to in DI. This is a great team that can do many great things, just survive and advance! You can’t control the numbers and where they put you in the divisions, but you can control the effort and attitude each night out.BernieKosar wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2020 9:23 pm Congrats Chilli.

Rooting for Chilly. Tough game ahead, but that’s D-1 basketball in central Ohio.
Re: D1 Chillicothe vs Marysville at the Hatton Gymnasium in Chilli tonight @7:00pm
Much easier to do in the Central and East v the SE or the NW or NE, where 3 hour travel can happen.LucasDavenport wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2020 6:22 pm2 things. it’s a sectional final and in The Central District the higher seed hosts.
