I’ll be surprised if it’s super close for real long. Coach Arey will know what it takes for his guys to compete but not sure they have enough to play with EB for 4 quarters.

I watched the Peebles vs Western Pike game, really want to see EB for the first time this season ... should be a good one - Peebles still looking to replace the floor leadership/scoring of Ruckel and Browning ... a work in progress are the Indians - want to see what Coach Arey changed from the opening game vs Western to Friday night to get the bigs involved down low ...

Beucler a decent coach as well lol...maybe pushing near 400 wins? 350?

LOL, yeh Coach Beucler knows the game a little bit - he is one of those coaches that I always WANT to be sitting behind his bench just to watch, hear him coach ... a few years back at the Beasts of the Southeast in Chesapeake Coach Beucler, Coach Persin, Coach Dave Young were all there - over 1000 wins between them at the time ... I had never met Coach Young but he wanted to meet ME, came up into the Cheap Seats to give me a North Adams t-shirt ... said he just wanted to tell me that he appreciated what I did for hoops in SEO ... the last and only time I met Coach Young.

Good story about Dave. I only spoke with him briefly a few times but knew him well from teaching with his wife for nearly 15 years.

Zane Trace is not going back to school until January 19. Remote for two weeks after Christmas break, but 7-12 sports will continue.

I thought some schools may do that, just to give everyone some extra time to recover from actually celebrating the upcoming holidays since most are going to do it anyways.

SW schedule has them off until the 29th with Belpre making the haul to Jeep Nation. Plenty of time to lick the wounds from the 1-3 Eagles

Warren beating Fort Frye already locked that in for me....to jump Waverly teams will have to keep winning or have great wins. Waverly won’t drop just for not playing. They’ll be 3 or 4 in next weeks rankings I’d guess

Peebles Lineup is one of the biggest in years. The 2 boys that play 4 and 5 barely touched the ball all night. Finally in the 4th they got the ball to Wesley, #50 I believe. I don't see them as a run and gun team this year. The Indians have a couple of nice shooters in Mills and Burba but they need to get an inside outside game going to succeed.
With all of that said, I hate to see them play EB after only playing one game this season. I feel they will be a better team after several games and finding their new rythym.

I 100 % agree. EB has some games in the bank and have their game legs.I believe everyone is back from last year. It will be hard for the boys of Arey to win this one. We will see what's up Friday. Last year's contest went to the last .06 seconds. Hope this one is the same,only with Peebles finishing.
