Fairland outscoring SP 18-4 in the 2nd period ... finally used all 5 of their offensive weapons in the 2nd qtr AND turned the Pointers over 8 times in the period ... got 3's from Polcyn/Hunt/Schmidt in the 2nd ... looked MORE Dragon-like to me ... SP led 18-16 after 1 ...

... thanks ! wish the livestream would have stayed up, I was doing napkin stats on the game - now "I got nothin' " LOL that I believe clinches the OVC chip for the Dragons ...

Fairland will be champs or co-champs depends on game against Gallia. If win outright champ if a loss co-champs with South Point.

... this one is played at Fairland Monday night as well ... what I DID see ... Jacob Polcyn got more touches inside, Clayton Thomas hit his 3's BUT also stepped inside the 3 point line and hit the medium range shot as well (something he HAS been doing in the last 5-6 games) ... the Dragons had a big 10-0 run toward the end of the 2nd quarter - pressure D, turned SP over 8 times in the 2nd qtr alone/got 3 straight transition buckets to catch the Pointers and get separation ... what I got from the 2nd quarter run was that ALL of the FHS weapons were on display - 3 point shooting from multiple players, the pressure D, points out of the transition game ...peake71 wrote: Sat Feb 20, 2021 9:52 pm Fairland will be champs or co-champs depends on game against Gallia. SP lost this game at foul line...10 for 22 from line and missed 4 1&1.... Defense didn't play as well as 1st meeting..SP point guard in foul trouble in 3rd quarter with 4 had to sit as well.....Fairland being the 1 seed will win a few games but this Fairland team is no where near the caliber of some of recent past Fairland teams.....My guess is Burg, eastern Brown ,Adena or SP have better chance for regionals.... Burg has the best team in Div 3 in my opinion....Div 2 I have changed my mind a little..I believe Waverly comes out on top with logan elm, Sheridan, and Jackson possibilities....Warren a long long shot......
