Marietta has been deemed dangerous but 120 mile trip to Waverly to play the peaking Tigers of Waverly...doesn’t sound promising.

I’ll keep saying....playing against and defending Robertson for the first time is tough.

Waverly has been playing great as of late and seem to play their best against better teams. Waverly will be back to full strength with the return of Will Futhey so look for the home Tigers to really get out and run. I don't know anything about Marietta other than the roster doesn't look like they have very much size. If their guards aren't ready for high pressure it could be a long night for them.

It's 110 miles from my parents house (in town Waverly) to the campus of Marietta College made the trip many many times. It's not real twisty or curvy, but it is a haul and every bit of two hours, especially on a bus.
Waverly at home, hot as any team, with Marietta's long bus ride. Looks like everything is in Waverly's favor

I can't see Marietta winning this game. I think by the end it'll be around 12-15 point win for Waverly.

It is a long bus ride but these are HS kids and I wouldn’t put too much stock in that. You can put em in a school bus, greyhound, or cram them in a van they just want to play whether its a 30 minute or a 3 hour drive like Manchester had last night. The better team will win and sometimes the tournament just brings out so many emotions and nerves that kids don't perform as they typically would. With that said I think Waverly wins in a physical type game.

Nothing new- My daughter is the Head Volleyball Coach at Canfield and when I saw her Northeast District brackets I noticed Marietta was in the Northeast District for Volleyball.....
