Taylor went to Prep.
0 or Davis was hurt but returned last night.
Fairlands young players are playing very well right now.
They now have a 2 game lead in OVC after SP lost to Gallia. Everything still very close with most teams still in the race.
21/22 OVC

I believe Ironton is 4-4 in the league.
Wins against Gallia, SP, RH twice
Losses against SP, Gallia, Peake twice

Re: 21/22 OVC
Moses Guthrie is correct......Portsmouth has a 3-6 record, with all 3 wins on the road. The Trojans are 0-4 at home, losing to South Point, Rock Hill, Chesapeake, and Fairland. After losing to South Point and Rock Hill at home, PHS won at both SP and RH. Portsmouth's other road win was at Coal Grove. PHS has OVC home games vs. Ironton, Gallia Academy, and Coal Grove.
Portsmouth's record vs. each school since joining the OVC in 2014-2015, including this year so far, regular season only.
Fairland.........2-14
Ironton..........6-8
South Point....10-6
Chesapeake....8-8
Coal Grove.....9-6
Gallia Acad.....8-7
Rock Hill.......14-2
Portsmouth has played 4 OVC schools in the tourney since 2015. PHS beat Coal Grove in the district semifinal 60-46 in 2015, beat Chesapeake for the district championship 59-46 in 2015, lost to South Point 59-42 in the district semifinal in 2017, and lost to Fairland 85-47 in the sectional championship in 2021.

Gallia & SP come in tied for second at 6-4 ( 12-4 & 9-7 )

Re: 21/22 OVC
Portsmouth is 4-6 in the OVC, with wins at Coal Grove, South Point, Rock Hill, and Gallia Academy. The Trojans still have 1 road game left that being at Ironton on Friday. PHS is assured of a winning OVC record, currently posting a 4-2 record. Portsmouth is 0-4 at home in the OVC, having lost to Rock Hill, South Point, Chesapeake, and Fairland. They have 3 OVC games left at home, those being Ironton, Gallia Academy, and Coal Grove next week.
Re: 21/22 OVC
I believe Chesapeake has the record for consecutive OVC titles , anyone know how many seasons in a row the Panthers took home the crown ? Im thinking Fairland currently sits at number two , not sure how far they have to go to catch the Panthers if the records theirs though. Thanks

Re: 21/22 OVC
??? 4-6 currently with 4 games to go doesn't assure a winning record in the OVC does it? The Peake has record of 11 straight.
For the state record Wooster has record of 12 straight.
The Peake is tied for second with Cortland and and Wheelersburg with 11.

Re: 21/22 OVC
transplant: My post above was supposed to indicate that the Trojans have clinched a winning road record in the OVC. The loss at Ironton on Saturday left PHS with a 4-3 road record. The win over Gallia Academy last night gave Portsmouth a 1-4 mark in the OVC in home games, so overall the Trojans are 5-7 with games with Ironton and Coal Grove at home. Obviously, the best overall OVC record that PHS could post would be 7-7.
