I can tell you right now, the Waverly Tigers might not have a set lineup until January. So many graduated, 1 player left only 1 returning that played any significant minutes. For sure won’t have one by next Monday.

Hudson Kelly the only starter and only Senior returning. Mason Kelly will have some size but only a sophomore and no varsity experience.
Caden Nibert returns as a Junior with limited varsity time last year.
Jamison Morton returns with no real varsity experience.
Ryan and Ben Nichols return and should be vying for valuable playing time.
Hoping to see Quinton Hurd on the hardwood.
No idea who else will be showing up once football is over.

Smurray things not good for Tiger basketball. Would you happen to know status of Kelley boy, I know he had a monster summer playing at all the Elite prospect camps and has put the work in.

Saying he’s out 2-4 weeks, injury wasn’t as bad as initially reported at the game last week. So that’s good news. Need him because it’s going to be a struggle this season for sure.

According to school website:
Washington CH Varsity Roster -
Michael Bearden 6′2″ 175 2023
Micah Brown 6′3″ 195 2025
Isaiah Haithcock 6′5″ 200 2024
Raleigh Haithcock 6′2″ 186 2023
Tanner Lemaster 6′6″ 245 2023
Jacob Lindsey 6′2″ 265 2025
Brayden May 6′4″ 163 2023
Gage Merritt 6′4″ 135 2025
William Miller 5′10″ 140 2025
Garrett Rickman 6′1″ 160 2024
Gabriel Tayese 6′3″ 185 2024
John Wall 6′1″ 150 2024

Looks like the Blue Lions will have four seniors this year and will return their starting lineup minus Reico Colter, but added Michael Bearden from Madison Plains.

Ironton St. Joe Varsity roster:

#11 Erikai Jackson 5'8" SR Point Guard
#14 Hunter Staton 6'4" SR Forward
#55 Kai Coleman 6'0" SR Guard
#24 Drew Brown 6'1" JR Guard
#13 Evan Balestra 6'2" JR Wing
#4 Brady Medinger 5'8" JR Guard
#?? Jake Stevens 6'0" JR Wing
#25 Wesley Neal 6'2" SO Forward
#30 Landon Rowe 5'10" SO Guard
#3 Aiden DeBorde 5'10" SO Guard
#45 Carter Johnson 6'4" FR F/C

This is a very deep team. 8 players should all see significant playing time and they will most likely play 10-11 of these men in most games.

Another poster said they just beat Wesley Christian in a scrimmage. Wesley Christian plays a national schedule. Screw sectionals or districts, this means St. Joe is probably the favorite to win state in D4.

I gotta agree with you bbjunky... How many kids are not transfers? I don't think Barnes would of left if he had known all this talent was coming up

I know they did play a three team scrimmage with Wesley and Teays Valley Christian and won both. Hard to tell much from scrimmages and I heard Wesley's best player did not make the trip. I don't know if other players were out or not.
