Minford was a 22 point game, but besides that, I agree with your post.
I left out their 2nd loss to Burg, also. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Good opportunity to finish strong and generate some momentum going into the tournament.

This week Federal Hocking (14-2) defeated Pfloyds #8 Vinton County (D2) 72-60 on Tuesday.

Then defeated Pfloyds #19 Marietta (D2) 66-58 on Saturday.

The only people more intimidated by Howie than the refs is the other coaches in D4. That’s why he gets the good draws every year.
How’d that intimidation work for your over hyped tomcats tonight? Go Bucks!

Ya’ll got lucky cause it fits in the seeding plan. But I agree Go Ohio State Bucks! You can’t be all bad being an Ohio State fan.

Preliminary seeding based on the current MartinRPI rankings. Below are the D-IV tournament matchups .

FYI - Ignore most of the dates. They haven't been updated yet.

This is probably not intentional and not the focus of the bracket, but the #1 seed in the SEO wouldn't go into bracket that would make them play the East District champ I bet. Central district is much weaker than East district and it is not particularly close IMO.

The projected seeding is great though!

TriState,

Can you re-post the projected brackets with the most updated Martin RPI?

Thanks for all you do.

In past years it has been the choice of the #1 seed if they want to be designated at Southeast 1 or Southeast 2 based on the matchup in the regionals. I would assume that would continue.

I don't remember that being the case. I've always seen the brackets on the SEODAB.org early in the season pre determined. When Trimble was 25-0 and the No. 1 seed, I know if Howie had a choice he wouldn't have played Africentric in the semi's. lol

The No. 1 seed does get to pick now. It's a somewhat recent change is what I was told by someone who would definitely know.

I know that has been the case for the past handful of years. It may have started when they went to superseeding.

I love this type of post. TriState was 100% right, but only gets partial credit, because you asked someone else who knew 😂

My "eye's on" " gut feeling" approach is pretty close to the algorithm ...

Top 10 D4 Teams Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line

1. Fairfield Leesburg (14-0)
2. Federal Hocking (14-2)
3. South Webster (11-4)
4. Paint Valley (12-5)
5. Green (14-4)
6. Eastern Pike (9-7)
7. Portsmouth Notre Dame (10-5)
8. Whiteoak (6-10)
9. Western Pike (8-8)
10. Trimble (7-6)

haha well you know how preps is, you never know who people are and what they post is 100% correct, so I got ahold of a board member and the former tournament director.

That’s 100% fair. Did they say it changed in the Covid year? Because I feel like it’s only been a couple of years.
