Congratulations to my neighbors, the North Adams Green Devils. Well done. Swikert is still my favorite Devil. Maybe 5'10" and rebounding and getting shots while banging with the big kids. I look for the Green Devils to shoot a little better from the line ,next game. Good scouting from coach Copas.

NA ability to keep minford out of the paint and force terrible shots and turnovers was the biggest difference. Great guard play from NA was fun to watch took their time to get the best look.

Has there been a more successful family name for high school play at the Convo than Copas?

Did NA long time coach Dave Young coach at Minford to start his career? Or was it Valley?

North Adams was the more patient team, took better shots. Minford too often would get a stop and then go down and force a quick shot.

When Minford actually got in the half court and moved the ball around they got great shots. For whatever reason, even when they would have a 2-3 point lead, they'd guard for 30-40 seconds then come down and take an immediate shot. That's a recipe for losing in the postseason.

Minford went away from the basket and tried to shoot from the perimeter. I felt the Minford bigs were better and it would have been different outcome had they used them inside. It also didn't help the Falcons had a kid hoping to join the 1000 pt club as a sophomore. Seemed like the Falcons allowed some bad shot selections and settled for an outside shot rather than work it in the paint.
