"HIM" this past weekend of action (12/8-12/10):

Post by pfloyd »

Trying to give props to all of the players across the SE District who had excellent performances each game night - win or lose! .... offensive or defensive performances! ... starters or off the bench! - players who had outstanding contributions to the TEAM effort ... I only get to 1 game per night - those players get recognized in my writeups BUT there are many, many, many players who deserve to be recognized for what they do for their teams nightly, on teams/games I don't get to - with your assistance WE can make this happen - thanks, pfloyd

Please post exceptional individual performer names/with school name & stat lines from this past weekend (Friday 12/8 - Sunday 12/10/23) :

Tate (Hillsboro) was the differentiator in the Hillsboro/Jackson game. I don't know full stats, but I believe he ended with 28 pts... and after Jackson tied the game at 16 secs remaining, Tate held the ball for a final shot, and pulled up from ~25 ft to twist a dagger at the buzzer. I think he finished with 5 or 6 treys. Impressive performance against a couple of very good defenders on the Jackson squad. Kudos to that young man... ice in the veins.

The Zane Trace Pioneers Landen Jarrell had 21 points and 4 assists against a solid Vinton County team. Then turned around and put up 20 points and 4 assists against Unioto, and got the “W”.

Landen Jarrell IS a "player" AND ONLY a JUNIOR! I was impressed by both to the Zane Trace guards Jarrell and Ezra Rippeth ... nice tandem of perimeter players for Coach Kelleough ...

Jarrell was All-Ohio last spring in baseball as a sophomore shortstop while Rippeth is his keystone partner in the middle. They know each other well not just on the hardwood.
