SE District D2 Scoring Leaders

Post by Pioneer14 »

Looking for additional numbers for Southeast District D2 Scoring leaders heading in to the final week of the season. Kendall probably gets the nod for POY.

Here is what I have so far for players averaging at least 15.0 ppg. Please share any updates or corrections you may know for some of these individuals.

Alex Kendall Marietta 21.3 (21 games)
Isaiah Stephens New Lexington 21.3 (20 games)
Garrett Brown Vinton County 20+ ??????
Caleb Schmelzer Fairfield Union 19.5 (19 games)
Briley Cramer Circleville 19.4 (20 games)
Raine Rodich Sheridan 18.9 (20 games)
Julian Stadelman Warren 18.6 (18 games - missing Chillicothe)
Tate Davis Hillsboro 17.2 (20 games)
Bentley Hanson New Lexington 17.1 (18 games)
Trent Taylor Warren 16.4 (18 games - missing Chillicothe)
Garrett Rickman Washington CH 15.8 (17 games)
Jack Howland Hillsboro 15.1 (20 games)
Cobra Sharp Vinton County ??????

Looking for Jackson, Unioto, Miami Trace players but believe only Jackson may have anyone over 15ppg. Those 3 teams have some good players but are well balanced.

Thanks!

While scoring averages are helpful, so many other things are important to evaluate “player of the year” and all-district selections. Rebounds, assists, defense, shooting percentages and overall value to a team are critical as well.

Southeast Hoops Fan,
I definitely agree. Just threw in my 2 cents for POY. Marietta is number 1 seed and he probably covers the other categories as well. All of the players listed bring tremendous value to their teams. The post was more about seeing who else is scoring it well this year and I didn't have numbers for several players. Trying to complete a list. Thanks

All good. I wasn’t being negative toward Kendall. In fact, when you add those other important categories, Alex Kendall clearly earns POY. When you think about a team that did not return 5 of its top 9 players from last year, Marietta’s season to date is quite a story.
