Re: Burg vs Fairland
My assumption is both these coaches will use this game as a glorified scrimmage working out any kinks they can before next tournament game.

100% spot on! Don’t read to much into this game. It’s also Fairlands senior night. Both coaches want to get the players in game situations and leave healthy. Win/loss doesn’t matter

didn't realize this is their Sr night, glad the game is happening for that reason alone. From Burgs perspective, keeps them in rhythm as far as a weekly schedule of two games a week. Also gives an opportunity for some of those guys who have busted their butts on scout team all season to get some runDragonguy13 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2024 10:01 pm100% spot on! That was a very fun game to watch very fast paced Fairland has some players and very well coached I think Minford might have some trouble with them but congrats to Burg and good luck Sunday against South Point should be a great game

I’m curious, did both teams play their starters? I know that seems like an odd question, but i’m not sure I would.
Re: Burg vs Fairland
Yes they did except for about the first minute of the game Fairland had 3 seniors that got to start cause they normally don't play much cause it was senior night but other than that the starters played all gameElijah Craig wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 8:52 pmI’m curious, did both teams play their starters? Burg not going to win all there games in any sport, but tonight says it all about pirate sports . They never quit, fight hard and it is what makes pirate sports what it is.
Re: Burg vs Fairland
Great game, Both teams played to win and kept their starters in the game. There is no separation in teams playing this Saturday at the Convo. I could see all four games this Saturday coming down to the last two minutes of the game.

really surprised to see starters play the entire game, I think it will benefit both teams a ton though! Just always worried about that injury bug in games that don't matter. Fairland can absolutely give Minford a run for their money, can't wait to watch that one, Sunday will be fun all day.
also, have you ever seen a team have this many OT games as Wheelersburg!? my gosh lol. That's one aspect of the game they will be fully prepared on for Tourney time
