Danicalifornia, is the Lynchburg-Clay game now off the schedule as well? I’m seeing that per the Minford High School website. Looks like they open up December 6 vs South Point now.

A variety of things happened, with surprisingly none of them being Minford’s soccer run, as I was told that game was off the schedule during the district finals of soccer.

Danicalifornia, is the Lynchburg-Clay game now off the schedule as well? I’m seeing that per the Minford High School website. Looks like they open up December 6 vs South Point now.

I know that’s the opener, not sure about any game with LC, but 12/6 is the opener for sure.

A variety of things happened, with surprisingly none of them being Minford’s soccer run, as I was told that game was off the schedule during the district finals of soccer.

Fisher withdrew due to their numbers situation. Three of their starters (one with a career-ending injury) got hurt between July and September, and the other two had timetables to return going deep into November/December.

So what went from “we know our starting five and next two” quickly went to “we only have 2/5, we have two more but we don’t know who the next couple kids will be — or if there are any.” Between soccer, XC and football tying up so much of the school, and the simple fact they don’t really know which freshmen on last year’s JV are sticking with hoops (natural attrition), they just couldn’t realistically keep this on the schedule not knowing who all would be available once practice starts.

Trust me, I’m bummed. If not for the injuries it would’ve been worth watching.
