Update - Pfloyd's Elite 8 rankings will be out around 8pm tonight ...

Sorry, lots to consider in the rankings before putting out the first rankings of the season ... as I've always said the preseason rankings are as tough as they get,especially if you do them as I do BEFORE the preseason begins and we know or find out what teams bring to the court ... the preseason rankings are meant to start discussion, get us thinking about teams, players, leagues, etc. ... pretty sure we've been successful with that this season ... "where pfloyd was wrong" there are some teams that have looked so much better than where the committee had them in the preseason and some teams are NOT what I thought they would be ... but all in all teams are in the sections ie. top 10, top 20, etc where I thought they would ... with that said when the 1st rankings come out - some of the teams that I was horribly wrong about will be placed where I feel they should be based on what I've seen either up or down the rankings ... on the plus side I have actually seen video of or after weeks 1.5 (2) had eyes on in person 61 of the 72 teams in the SE district ... at any rate , the rankings will come out - they will be later than the 8pm usual release time more like 10 pm (partly because I'm helping cook Thanksgiving dinner #2 for family who was unable to make Thanksgiving #1) ... thanks for your patience - the committee of one

Thanksgiving #2 was successful ... have been working on the official Elite 8 for the new season ... feeling good about what I have on paper ... as I said teams for the most part were ranked in the right sections top 15 , top 20, top 25 etc. with the first rankings coming out I have worked on getting them into their appropriate row/seat with eyes on teams since opening scrimmages, previews, foundation games, 1 1/2 weeks of regulars season action - with the power of computer/livestreaming of games/scrimmages - I've seen lots of hoops action ... probably the most I seen this early in a season any year since I started doing SEOPs back in 2006, and jjhuddle 4 years prior to that - it helps to be retired now LOL ... I told Coach McCormick the other night when I was at the NA @ Eastern Brown game that this is the first time I've gotten to put names of players with faces & their games on the court for teams in the SHAC in my time doing the rankings ... SOSA, GoodguysRadioTv, Total Media Sports, hudl feeds, the individual schools who broadcast livestreams of games - thank you all ... it's a great thing for this hoops junkie ... I will tell you now that there are teams where "pfloyd was wrong" in the preseason rankings - expect those teams Fairland, Portsmouth Notre Dame, Fairfield Leesburg, Portsmouth West and few others to be placed/ranked more appropriately in this first ranking of the season - pfloyd simply was wrong in the preseason ranking - the committee corrected the error ... as I said looks good to me on paper ... it will be up to teams to move up or down based on their on court/game performances ...
