Fairfield Leesburg 66
Western Pike 68 OT a final

... got home from Fairland around 11:15pm last night, got on the computer and watched 4 livestreamed games one being this one - Western Pike @ Fairfield Leesburg @ the Chad Hodson Classic ... this one finished off the day of games ... went into overtime to decide a winner ... one of those games where both teams played outstanding man to man, in your face, pressure the ball for 32 minutes all 94 feet of the court - defense ... I was smiling the entire time I watched the game ... of course I can't watch a game in person or on live stream without doing the napkin stats for the game ... Western Pike 66 Fairfield Leesburg 64 in OT a final...

Pfloyd's official "UN-official" Napkin Stats - Fairfield Leesburg

Scoring ... Logan McIntosh 28, Brody Smith 18, Griffin Friend 8, Chase Newman 8, Dane Hodson 2, Quentin McIntosh 2
3 Pointers ... 12/25 … Logan McIntosh 6, Brody Smith 2, Griffin Friend 2, Chase Newman 2
FTs ... 10/10
TOs ... 12
PnP ... 9 fgs/ 18 points in the paint
PnT ... 0 fgs/ 0 points in transition
Pbk ... 0 fgs/ 0 points on putback buckets

... Logan McIntosh was outstanding, nothing new - he dropped 6 treys on the game ... Griffin Friend was in foul trouble , sat out the majority of the first half with 2 fouls, picked up his 3rd in the 3rd period ,sat again - played the 4th and OT without fouling out , had 8 pts with a couple of 3 balls in the 4th ... Quentin McIntosh was held to 2 FTs by the Western defense - a BIG part of the equation that gave WHS the W ...

Pfloyd's official "UN-official" Napkin Stats - Western Pike

Scoring ... Drew Haggy 25, Kam Janes 21, Landan Owens 10, Samuele Cattaneo 5, Alex Siliven 5, Foster Davis 2
3 Pointers ... 10/17 ... Drew Haggy 4, Kam Janes 2, Landan Owens 2, Alex Siliven 1, Samuele Cattaneo 1
FTs ... 16/19
TOs ... 11
PnP ... 11 fgs/ 22 points in the paint
PnT ... 6 fgs/12 points in transition
Pbk ... 0 points on putback buckets

... Western Pike basketball - man to man Defense ... in your face, make your life miserable defense for 32 minutes, no let up ... a big difference this season is that Western IS deep on the bench ... there are points on the bench, there is NO let up or lessening of defensive pressure when Coach Williams goes to the bench ... Haggy (25pts), Janes (21 pts) still one of the best duos in all of SEOhio ... freshman Landan Owens is as good of a perimeter player both offensively and defensively as you will find - he is going to be outstanding and he will continue to get better and better THIS season ... his offensive numbers will keep going up - the 3rd scorer that every team needs ... a great add this season - foreign exchange student/athlete Samuele Cattaneo only 5-8 but has bought into everything Western does - offensively getting better every time out making decisions with the ball, plays as good of man to man, on ball, pressure D as ANYONE in SEOhio ... consistent players have been Tyler Kerns/Cutter Clay, Ayden Riggs and my pick for one of the most improved players in SEOhio jr. 6-0 Foster Davis ... shoots the 3 with confidence, plays defense all over the court ...

Was worth watching five other games to get to this one.
