2025 Regional Tournament Sites
Re: 2025 Regional Tournament Sites
I guess I will find out how bad it is if any teams I follow make it there ...

South Webster will have an easy route to the state semis or finals. It will depend on the bracket in the semis. They will be challenged by Russia (SW) or Delphos St. Johns (NW) but they will still be the most talented team in the division. Of course that is just my opinion.

I don't believe Webster will have any easier of a route in tournament than Russia or St. John Delphos, Russia hands down has the easiest.ItsMyOpinion wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 9:44 am South Webster will have an easy route to the state semis or finals. South Webster will have zero teams capable of beating them before the Final Four in their region.JeepNation26 wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 10:50 amI don't believe Webster will have any easier of a route in tournament than Russia or St. John Delphos, Russia hands down has the easiest.ItsMyOpinion wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 9:44 am South Webster will have an easy route to the state semis or finals. The Southwest is substantially better at basketball than the Southeast, so Russia will have 4-5 teams that could at least play with them. Webster has none.

I completely agree with you about SE d7. Nobody from D7 around here can play with Roberts. At the beginning of the year I thought maybe Fairfield or ND would give SW a good run. I just don't see it. Not many D6 or D5 teams can play with Roberts so safe to say SW has a cakewalk into the regional finals or final 4.

Fairfield and Notre Dame are well coached teams and have some players, but unless the Jeeps are off, I don’t see either within 8-10 points. I watched Western score like 12 points against Webster in a scrimmage, so I don’t think that would be much of a game even though I think highly of them and their staff.Hoopster98 wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 11:03 am I completely agree with you about SE d7. The central is bad, especially if what I read is right about Patriot Prep being the most talented group. They aren’t bad, but also ND blew them out at Shawnee State earlier this season.

I hope your right danicalifornia, but the Jeeps still can't take anyone lightly. Fairfield and Western neither one will go down without a fight and are both well coached. And the teams coming out of the East more than likely Steubenville Catholic Central or Bishop Rosecrans? or out of the Central Patriot Prep Academy, Shekinah Christian, or Fisher Catholic? however the brackets shake out will all be tough games. The Jeeps are playing well as a team together and will have to continue to, but they'll have to weather a few storms along the away the rest of the regular season which should prepare them for a long tournament run.danicalifornia wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 10:58 amSouth Webster will have zero teams capable of beating them before the Final Four in their region.JeepNation26 wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 10:50 amI don't believe Webster will have any easier of a route in tournament than Russia or St. John Delphos, Russia hands down has the easiest.ItsMyOpinion wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 9:44 am South Webster will have an easy route to the state semis or finals. That’s honestly the smart way to look at it as a fan, don’t overlook anyone and let others do that part for you lolJeepNation26 wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 11:16 amI hope your right danicalifornia, but the Jeeps still can't take anyone lightly. The Jeeps will have to still play well, but I think if they are even able to play to 60% of their ability, then they’ll be okay.

I'm hoping we see two teams from the Southeast D7 battling it out to go to the Final 4. Fingers crossed its the Jeeps...!!danicalifornia wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 11:43 amThat’s honestly the smart way to look at it as a fan, don’t overlook anyone and let others do that part for you lolJeepNation26 wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 11:16 amI hope your right danicalifornia, but the Jeeps still can't take anyone lightly. Re: 2025 Regional Tournament Sites
South Webster will have a lot easier route to the Final Four than Russia or St. Johns. Anybody that thinks a 16 or 17 win team in southeast Ohio is the same as a 16 or 17 win team in the Southwest or Northwest is not familiar with basketball in the other regions. Southern Ohio's top teams can usually compete against any of the other region's top teams but the difference is the number of high quality team in each region. There is usually a big difference in the number of top tier teams in the the southwest and northwest regions compared to the southeast region. Russia and St. Johns will play 1 or 2 teams (maybe 3 teams) in the tournament better than any team Webster will play in the district or region. But time will tell if "My Opinion" becomes true or not.

Re: 2025 Regional Tournament Sites
Hopefully your opinion is correct.... the problem with this Webster team is sometimes that they play down to their competition. Don't know why, don't no what it is but this group of kids has always done it and its cost them a game or two here there. Hopefully they can stay the course.ItsMyOpinion wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 1:55 pm South Webster will have a lot easier route to the Final Four than Russia or St. Johns.
