Down the line game tonight, but Nelsonville holds a 31-30 lead on Huntington at the half

9 lead changes. Buckeyes length bothering Huntington, but watch out for Huntington’s Frankie Hirsch. The sophomore has 15 at the half and has scored at all 3 levels, including a nice midrange game as well.

Nelsonville wins in overtime, 66-62

Alec Thompson was really good down the stretch and the Buckeyes did a nice job of cutting off the scoring for the Huntsmen late. Good win for the Buckeyes on the road over an improving Huntington team.

Big time ref show with a little over a minute to go. Fortunately, NY had possession already and missed both FTs, so it didn’t effect anything at all, but I hadn’t seen a really good one this year since the first day of the season. I know one of the team’s can be hard to officiate, but take care of things early and not in OT in a tie game.

Also, the same ref gave Huntington a timeout with 6.9 to play when it was clear that either NY had the ball or nobody did. Huntington hit a 3 to force OT because of it too. Just a poor performance late in the season.
