Throck and Jason may need a brand new whistle for their next assignment. They were calling everything tonight. I prefer to "let them play", but this particular crew...especially with Rod who wasn't with them tonight, is probably the best officiating crew in southern/Southeast Ohio. It just makes it difficult for either side to establish any sort of rhythm when the whistles are being constantly blown throughout the entire game which is how it was tonight. Five players fouling out for one team alone is enough to illustrate how tight the game was called, however it was consistent the entire time.

I didn’t watch it yet, but the names I saw as officials are typically a strong crew, so I’m sure it was just a bit of a foul heavy performance from both teams.

Might have to watch this on 1.5x speed though

The crew calling the game was bad. If they are the so called best I hate to see the worst officials.

The crew was good it’s hard to let them play when you give a inch they take a mile my favorite crew is definitely the crew when hiles and Gilmore come together one of the best in the State. BUT the crew tonight was very solid and rember they give the class online.

2 min left a 7-9 point lead and this tiger team was shooting 3’s. You really have to just dribble it out and make them foul at that point. Until there is a shot clock in HS use it to your advantage. That loss is 10000000% on Barnes. Gotta give those boys better instruction.

Ironton played like they were the team that was behind in this one.

Every home Ironton basketball game is like that. Zero flow, whistles on almost every trip up and down the floor. You always have a McKnight PA announcing, coaching and reffing in their home games. absolutely terrible.

I think Ironton lost this one more than Chesapeake won it. I dont know if the Ironton kids were just ignoring their coach or he doesnt have a clue how to coach . This game is definitely a head scratcher for Ironton fans .

My exact feeling on this one. Thats not the first time for Barnes in that situation

The Peake could have laid down and quit but they didn't.
Did Barnes get outcoached? Yes
They lost starters to foul trouble.
Schreck getting injured hurt them down the stretch it limited them.
The Peake out played them in the 4th and overtime.
The main thing no matter what your excuses or comments about the game the end is The Peake won and Ironton lost.
I could say things about McKnight... but no.

The style that Barnes plays doesn't mesh well with holding leads. His style is shoot the 3 ball and play high tempo. You can do that style but when your up big, then you need to run an offense to kill the clock.
