I like seeing Waverly High School getting used. That gym is fantastic and really underused, just because the Downtown Gym is so great.

Yeah before the higher seed played in the sectionals at home, IE when we played South Gallia at home. Now with the way it is and us getting a bye straight to the district semis, the district quarterfinals are home games and the semis at Waverly, which was better than Wellston lol or god forbid Meigs.

You really shouldn't have to take that long of a bus ride for a sectional/first round tournament game. There are enough gyms capable of hosting and we should be able to avoid that in SEO

...are the Waverly District Semi's NOT at the Downtown Arena?danicalifornia wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2025 2:18 pm I like seeing Waverly High School getting used. That gym is fantastic and really underused, just because the Downtown Gym is so great.

D5 at the Downtown, D7 at the High School
Re: Brackets released
I have NEVER been to the Waverly High School Gymnasium ... ever LOL ... I know we have talked and you have said it is one of the best gyms in the SE district ... interesting ... I'll have to look at the brackets again to see which gym in Waverly is being used on what nights etc. ...danicalifornia wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2025 4:22 pmSome are. Looks like the DVII's are at the high school and the DV's are at the Downtown Arena ... I know that if you hadn't mentioned the use of the "High School" gym at Waverly I would have driven to the Downtown Arena "automatically" ... Where is the high school located in Waverly?, don't recall seeing any signage as to where it is located within the city off of Rt 23 - the main thru-way ...

It’s just up the hill on 220 a mile out of town or something like that. A few minutes from the palace

220 West out of town. You'll top the hill and the campus is on the right. The High School is the first building on the right. Turn right at the first building to drive around back where the gym is.pfloyd wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2025 4:28 pm Looks like the DVII's are at the high school and the DV's are at the Downtown Arena ... 1 Tiger Drive should get you there...
Re: Brackets released
Will the southeast district ever change and let the coaches choose where they want to place their teams on the bracket, isn't the SE only district, that does it this way

Same thing I've been asking, why wouldn't it be done the same way across every district?buckcc wrote: Tue Feb 11, 2025 2:57 pm Will the southeast district ever change and let the coaches choose where they want to place their teams on the bracket, isn't the SE only district, that does it this way
