MT had scheduled youth tournaments at the high school Wednesday night so that’s why

Minford canceled the original game and there wasn't a snow flake on any road in ross county at the time. They have ZERO reason to complain or blame anyone if the game isnt played. All they had to do was keep the original commitment.

Its a shame. I wanted to see a good battle between two excellent teams.

Correct. One of MT's biggest fundraisers for their basketball program is the annual youth tournament they host. I believe they had over 70 teams entered for it from all around the area. It would have been a logistical nightmare to try to reschedule the tournament for a non-conference basketball game.

Now, MT probably would have been open to playing on Feb. 18, but Minford already has a game scheduled. I'm sure coach Ackley would prefer playing on the 18th versus have a six day break between the Hillsboro game and their tournament game on the 21st. I know at this point in the season, and really any point in the season, having 5+ days between games can be a negative thing at least in my opinion.

I don't know why there has to be "more" to every situation. Why can't we accept the fact that both teams really wanted this game to happen but unfortunately it wasn't able to be played?

Coach Ackley does not run from competition. Would have been a great game, but it is what it is.

Not quite sure how it is in your county, but when schools are canceled here for weather, no games are usually played. I`m SURE our boys were ready to play!!
