Floods

Post by The Ghost of Swanker »

How’s SEOPS Nation looking today? Currently in Webster the only way out is towards Wheelersburg. Routes to Jackson, Oak Hill, and Minford are all completely submerged.

The roads look like rivers in my neck of the woods

Hopefully the water goes down far enough and the roads stay clear for the falcons to travel to Webster tomorrow night

Yeah or Swank would have to give the Falcons a boat ride out to SW

Prayers for everyone's safety. Here on the Wdstern edge we got hit by about a 2-3 inches of snow ambush and 40 mph gusts. Adams County was on a level 2 snow emergency while simultaneously having roads closed for flooding. Not sure if the level 1 for Brown County expired. Really odd weather.

I’m sure it’ll go down enough. I’ve got pictures from Kentucky trail and the bridge on Bennett school house where Taylor hill splits off. Both are underwater.

Actually had to go to minford today and the only way was to go to the end of 140 and jump on the new highway back to Minford.

I’ve never seen the Little Scioto blowed out this bad in 32 years

I'm traveling to South Webster tomorrow afternoon via 93, 32,93 to 140 ... I got word from the ODOT supervisor that 140 was good to go ... that I shouldn't have issues making the trip due to high water ... hoping the receding waters aren't leaving sheets of ice behind - I trust the supervisor ... packing up the Twizzlers & napkin stat sheets/pencils and heading down the road in the early afternoon 2:30ish so I'm there by 4:15 or so ...

I just came through. No water but still run off from some driveways. I would worry about the freeze after dark when you head home, more so where 140 crosses through Lawrence briefly and then into Jackson. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you come through. Every morning I hit the same 4 or 5 spots of black ice. I believe there’s a sign for KFC at the big one. Once you come out of the holler into the open farmland past Eifort City you’re golden.

... that's what I've done all winter ... checking the runoff spots on the roads for the return trips after the games ... thank you ...
