Everyone leave Swank alone before he turns into a Burg fan and has his feelings hurt. Also Minford is a very physical team they are like the teams I watched back in the early 2000's everyone is physical and are not soft babies. But, hopefully this is motivation for the Jeeps and it will help them in tournaments.

The best teams I’ve ever seen in this conference are the ‘06 SW team (state champs) and the ‘07 Burg team (back to back state semi finals) … Each of these teams lost a conference game in those seasons.

I’m pretty sure Waverly’s state semi final team a few years ago lost a conference game as well.

Therefore…Let’s keep it interesting!

Webster is deeper and has overall better players. Minford won because MM and BK have heart, grit and toughness. All the things ER doesn’t have. It’s a shame. Shupert is a great athlete and player. Always admired how hard he played soccer and basketball. I will be rooting for the Jeeps and falcons the rest of the way.

The 06 team had elite players and coaches and might be the single best team to ever come from SEO.

The 06 SW team lost at Ironton that season. The 05 Ironton team w/ Waginger and Gagai that lost to NCH (Mayo and Walker and Keenan Ellis)in finals was better imo.

The D5 Regional at OU does not include a Central District team this year which means no Africentric or Harvest Prep
2 Southeast and 2 East District teams will make up the Regional

Was anyone slightly disappointed in the turnout tonight? I know 06 burg SW was thrown out a few times in anticipation and I wasn't there, but there were empty seats to count tonight. I really did think it would be a turnaway crowd.

I think there were more people at last year's Minford @ SW game than there were at tonight's game

I would like to shoutout the folks at South Webster for how well they handled the crowds getting in to the game, the concession workers and the great food they had, along with the AD or school staff who didn’t turn the scoreboard off as soon as the clock hit 0.00. Well done!

Not speaking on the overall crowd, but I can say the Minford side filled up way quicker than it did last year.

Great atmosphere for a great game. That was pure high school basketball fun. Congratulations to the Minford Falcons for winning the SOC 3 Championship. Best of luck to South Webster in the postseason. It’s fun to watch a game where 3 1000+ scorers are going at it.
