I feel like Fairfield has more players capable of creating their own shots this year compared to last year. They start and play 3 sophomores so I’m not sure if that youth will be impacted by the convo. SW will have the best player on the floor obviously and they seem to go on runs when needed. Both of these D7 teams have certainly been tested with their schedules (Webster runs the gauntlet in the SOC) and Fairfield having played Eastern Brown, North Adams in league then playing Miami Trace and Unioto out of conference.

Both coaches get the most out of their kids and then some. With all that in mind, Webster by 5-7.

Side note- Coach Williams has made the district finals in all 3 years of his coaching stint.

Can’t wait to watch Q blow a gasket on Sunday.
Convo Shupert is unstoppable. Jeeps by 16.

If the Jeeps come to the Convo ready to play and apply the pressure like they can on defense and are able guard the perimeter shooting of the Lions they can win this game by 15+ easily. But they'll need to keep their foot on the gas and not take it off. I just don't think from the games I've watched this Fairfield team play that they're as good as team as they were last season. They showed some weakness last night against Western and struggled with what little bit of ball pressure the Indians put on them and it wasn't much. If they're not knocking down the 3 ball they struggle. However Coach Williams will have them ready to play and they won't just bow down. But I still believe that most don't realize how deep this Jeeps team really is, they have a legit 6 guys that can score 15+ in any given game, just cause it's not happening every game doesn't mean it's not there. They stick to their game and all know their role on this team.

i turned on the stream late only to see SW JV scoring at will against whiteoak starters so jeeps are def deep

idk anything about Fairfield but looking at maxpreps their schedule is tough. Should be a good game but this jeep team is better than last year IMO lot of speed and good depth

I’m a big fan of Burton, little Barnard and Cole Bennett. I think they’d get meaningful varsity time at any other team that wasn’t already 7 deep.

Jeeps are vulnerable, if Fairfield can score enough points.

If the Jeeps can cause havoc with their ball pressure (like they have all season) leading to easy transition buckets from turnovers, especially on a bigger open floor like the convo, I can see them jumping up on FF at some point. This team is locked in and motivated to make a deep run.

When the court gets bigger it makes it more difficult with the pressure because of how much court they have to cover. With that being said I just never felt there was anyone in the district on SW level pretty easy path overall, SW by 17.

Nah. Q Williams has a stroke and is taken home via stretcher after Roberts dunks from the free throw line to seal the dub.

AND THE NETS BELONG TO THE JEEPS

I'm going to say the Lions find a way to keep this one close in a low scoring, physical slug fest. Lions make a few more plays late and steal this one 44-42.
