3/7/25 Minford v Garaway @ Convo Regional Semi-Final

Minford got the convo monkey off their back last week and continues their march forward.

Against ZT Falcons we’re 1/11 from three, they will need a few more I feel this week.

Garaway is listed as 18-6 and comes off a one point win in the district final. I can’t find a roster with any information. Watching some of their win over Coshocton they don’t appear to have much size, but maybe YouTube is deceiving.

Garaway didn’t play at the convo yet, I think that’s an advantage for Minford having played and won once there already.

I think Minford is definitely the better team in this match up and I think they are gonna take the dub 53-46. I look for Kayser and Myles to have a combined 45. I do not know much about the other team though they weren’t bad when I watched them play though.

Garaway has good size. Start 4 guys over 6’3. Raber is extremely talented but he doesn’t have much help, just big, strong athletes. Haven’t seen Minford play but have watched Garaway a few times this year. I’ll take the Falcons by 12-15.

1/11 from 3-point land?!?!?!? Sounds to me like Minford needs to get a practice or two in up in Athens to get used to the Convo. If not, maybe since they're the earlier game, they can get there extra early to get in a shoot around practice for an extended warmup.

Garaway doesn’t look the part but they’re good. Well coached and disciplined. Raber outstanding. Off guard lights out shooter. A wing player solid. The 2 bigs are ok and a good shooter off the bench. They’re playing well and have been there before.
