It's almost game time ... Pfloyd's heading for the James/OSU Cancer Center Wednesday Morning ...

Oct. 2009 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer - melanoma ... left lung, intestines, liver ... after battling up to March 2015 with multiple immunotherapies, over 35 days of overnight stays at OSU in ICU during treatment cycles, operations to remove a portion of my left lung, intestines ... in March 2015 I was told I was N.E.D. - no evidence of disease ... the Head Coach decided the team needed me on the bench, gave me more playing time ... since then, every March I have been making the trek back to OSU/the James for scans/blood draws/meet with my team to make sure all is well ... it's that time again ... during my battle, one of the biggest support systems I had was right here on SEOPs - if you go back to the archives between 2010-2015 or so you will read about my battle with Stage 4 cancer, the ups & downs that one who is fighting goes through ... journaling my battle on SEOPs gave me an outlet to "talk" much the way I do when I'm posting about games/players etc. ... instead of holding my thoughts IN I posted them on this website ... tomorrow I'm heading back to the 10x10 room where you await the news of the scans/blood tests... where you read the faces of the nurses, listen to the words spoken to try to read between the lines as to whether the news is good or not as good ... I'm taking all of the "good luck" charms to fight my superstitions just as I have the last 10 years - much like wearing lucky socks in sports LOL - I have a purple hippo that fits in my OU cinch bag that I take to all of the games - it is emptied of the Twizzlers, extra pencils etc, a Kennedy half dollar, a lucky golf tee ... yeah, I think I have the "luck's on my side" covered ... where you come in - IF you believe in the Head Coach, would you ask Coach to give pfloyd more playing time - I would appreciate it #cancersucks ...

Prayers to the Great Physician (aka: Head Coach)!

Pfloyd: As a cancer survivor myself (prostate cancer.....stage 3), I can empathize with your situation. I will pray that the Good Lord, the Great Physician will give you a great report.

My cancer situation looks really good...........4 straight PSA's of <0.04 over the course of 18 months. I haven't had any further treatments during that time. I was diagnosed in June 2022, had 8 weeks of radiation and 3 hormone shots, but have had no treatments for the last 18 months.

I have been truly blessed by our Great God that my cancer was very treatable.

I'm just now jumping on here. The Head Coach and Great Physician has this with all the prayers going up from us crazy basketball fans.
It was really good to get to see and talk to you at Waverly a couple weeks ago. I saw you at the Convo last week but couldn't down on the floor to talk to you - I don't have those credentials.
