Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
Just was called and informed Bradley told his team he resigned, probably for the best.
Any ideas who could/would even coach for the tigers?
Tons of young talent and even more in the school they need to get to come out next year.

The paint valley coach has kids that are very little there and was an assistant when they went to state. Could Piketon’s coach come over too?
Neither have a lot of varsity success but know how to run a program and have coached at Waverly before

Very enticing job, especially if all stay. They will get some big names to apply is my guess.

Enticing in terms of facility and occasional past success, but from the outside looking in, is the program in such a state among all its stakeholders that the red flags will make it hard to fill the job? It will be interesting how it plays out.
They say nothing is impossible, yet I accomplish nothing every day.

Even the kids that don’t pass or talk to each other are staying? And the parents who make 1000 word posts on social media that are shared across the world and clearly hate each other are staying too? That’s excitingILOVEWAVERLYTIGERS wrote: Fri Mar 14, 2025 8:44 amNope not anymore, with the resigning they’re all stayingburgpirater wrote: Fri Mar 14, 2025 8:36 am def a good job if they all stay...... im hearing one very important one is as good as gone tho so we shall see

Kyle Miller took Western Latham to the Sweet 16, I think he has had some success. Rick PItino wouldn't of won at PIketon this season.HamPorter wrote: Thu Mar 13, 2025 10:11 pm The paint valley coach has kids that are very little there and was an assistant when they went to state. Waverly probably has a short list they will look at first. in no order
MIller
Lockery
Robertson

Hannah
Doug Williams
Josh Arey

Miller has been at Piketon for quite some time let’s not act like this was his first year. He hasn’t found near the success that many thought he’d find. With that being said I won’t be shocked if he’s a candidate but they’ve got to have the right job title in place for him to accept.Penguin wrote: Fri Mar 14, 2025 11:18 amKyle Miller took Western Latham to the Sweet 16, I think he has had some success. Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
First, Waverly is more in my area so I’m a little more interested in their sports.
I’m sure Coach Robertson is interested in the job because they have talent coming up through the ranks. But I would be surprised if Waverly administration would consider him a realistic candidate. Most people remember he pulled his son from the school district and actually helped coach somewhere else while being an administer at Waverly. I think that would look bad on the leadership if the district did considered him a candidate.
Lockery has head coaching experiences but I’m not sure he is a good option. His Paint Valley tenure was not a positive experience and I’m not sure head coaching is in his wheel house!
Doug Williams would be the obvious choice but I’m not sure he will want to deal the drama that is associated with Waverly Sports. I could be wrong!
Regardless of the talent, Waverly is a terrible coaching job. The commitment to excellence is not important at Waverly. I wish them the best but they need to find the right guy this time. The last two have not been the right guys!

Doug or Travis will take it. Miller is staying at Piketon and has decided to coach next year.
How about Travis Hale? Maybe he can bring his career back
