same with ironton in football, handful of transfers every yrGoAt 10 wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 9:15 pm Let me know if this makes sense to any of you. Crumble won a state championship as a freshman at Lutheran East, transfers to Richmond Heights and leads them to a state championship as a sophomore last year. Now he’s BACK at Lutheran East as a Junior. I’m sure if you research their roster you’d find other similar moves.
Minford proudly has 4 starters who played together in 1st or 2nd grade all-stars in the old Franklin furnace gym.. competitive balance didn’t fix anything! Wishing all Public schools luck in the final four.

Re: Minford vs. Lutheran East
Tall order. Lutheran East in peak form could compete for the D1 championship with a roster that features 0 seniors.
Norwayne is a good comp to Minford and gave LE problems for 3.5 quarters before running out of steam. Norwaynes defensive pressure was exceptional. Minford will absolutely need to compete on the glass to have a chance. As many have mentioned, getting Crumble in early could trouble would be huge. Similarly, LE will likely try and get Kayser on the bench. Will be pulling for the Falcons from TVC country.

Re: Minford vs. Lutheran East
A real good Norwayne team played Lutheran East or West or North really tough. I'm not sure that Minford can handle the pressure that they will see from Lutheran.

Re: Minford vs. Lutheran East
Montgomery and Kayser have played plenty of AAU against high level competition so I believe they can handle the pressure. It's the supporting cast that I worry about for them. They are going to need other to step up to the plate to have a chance
Re: Minford vs. Lutheran East
Shoemaker and Glockner played some high level AAU as well, just not as recent. If the supporting cast and limit live ball turnovers and Montgomery can control the pace whenever needed simply by controlling the basketball at his own pace, Minford stays in it.

As much as I would love to see Minford win I don’t think the the Muletown boys are going to take this one. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong, but I got Minford losing by 5 with a final score of 68-63. Good luck Muletown rooting for you in SW

Where? St John? Nationwide? Who offered? Who was open? You know of places that wanted the game and was turned down. Just curious.BigBlueNation wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 8:13 pmSomewhere in Columbus.Barney Rubble wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 7:05 pmWhere should this game be played? Maybe should play it at Waverly? That would be fair and a great location.Bleeding Red wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 6:08 pm How does a state semi be played at St Clairsville? That's stupid in itself. Nothng centralized or logical about it.
OHSAA always drops the ball.

Minford fans will enjoy the ECO Center at Ohio University Eastern campus. Great seating plus with a balcony and 95% of the crowd will be Minford fans. OVAC fans from the area will support too. Dozens of great restaurants plus a nice mall and plaza are close by on opposite sides of I-70.

Re: Minford vs. Lutheran East
It will be interesting to me to see how Kayser and Myles do with players at their position who each have high major d1 offers. To me I just don’t see Minford pulling off the win. I hope they can but The Lue is just so good. Good luck to the Falcons though.
Re: Minford vs. Lutheran East
Just an observation: I grew up in Scioto county but have lived in TN a long time. In TN private schools are in separate divisions. My opinion is that it was a result of a very small private school that won the state nearly every year in football against the largest public high school because of recruitment and if you wee a D! prospect you wanted to go there because of the reputation. They may play each other during the season in non-conference matches but during playoffs and tournament they are separated.
