Re: TVC HOCKING POY
It'd be nice to see someone from SG get it. I don't think any player from SG or RV has ever been POY.

How did he play in theses five games?RebelZone wrote:Rumor is Ehmantvcpowerhouse2011 wrote:What's everyone's predictions? Any rumors or anything
Trimble twice
Waterford twice
Tourney game vs Southern
Re: TVC HOCKING POY
He's not even the best player on his team. I've watched him play against Trimble twice and tonight hasn't looked like a POY to me

Re: TVC HOCKING POY
if I was to start a team & had my pick of any player - i'd take Guthrie. If he wasnt available, i'd choose Jenkins. Ehman is a nice ball handler, but have seen him do nothing else vs Western at the Convo.
Re: TVC HOCKING POY
Just saying I heard from a very realiable source that Ehman won. I'm not saying that it's a fact but just saying that's what I heard.

Trimble he didn't have 20 points combined in both games, at the most.TVC wrote:How did he play in theses five games?RebelZone wrote:Rumor is Ehmantvcpowerhouse2011 wrote:What's everyone's predictions? Any rumors or anything

Tourney game last night, he didn't play like he was the MVP. I thought Hutchinson was the best player on that team.
No idea about Waterford.
I do know that he is mouthy out there on the court. Saw during Trimble game at SG. Also last night.
Guthrie would be my pick.

Haters gonna hate. Here's an idea. Let's trust that the coaches knew what they were doing when they voted and took everything they have seen out of all the players to help make their decision. I really don't think getting on here and sort of kind of bashing any of the boys is necessary. That's my five cents worth anyway.

I'm not trying to ruffle feathers I'm just saying what I heard from someone who would know who won the award. I'm not taking anything from Guthrie, I just heard that Ehman won POY. It's not a joke no matter who won it the coaches vote so whoever wins will be the right person.

Re: TVC HOCKING POY
Ehman has good court vision and is a good ball handler. But from what I've seen of SG I think the #1 Hutchinson is a better player. Not bashing anyone just my opinion. If I had a vote for POY it would go to Guthrie. He's played his best games against the top competition in the conference. Jenkins would be a close 2nd IMO.

The Guthrie's are basketball royalty around here.whompascat wrote:if Guthrie doesn't win it's a joke
Dustin Guthrie from VC won TVC-Ohio MVP 2 times
Guthrie (Girl from Alexander) won TVC-Ohio MVP 1 time
Noah Guthrie from Trimble won Hocking MVP at least once.

Re: TVC HOCKING POY
The Guthrie boy fg&at 2s is 72% for the year 1000%. From 3's. I have seen both kids play numorus times. Guthrie has had a double - double in all but one game. He has had several games with twenty points at half time and didn't see the floor after half time. Not knocking the Enhman boy because he is a great basketball player.... He scored 3 points against Trimble the first game and 13 points the second game. He also had similar points against Waterford. He scored five in the tournmant the other night. Guthrie has the best court vision of any big man in the tvc and is probably the second best player in the entire tvc except for Griffin Lutz! Which is DIV/1 prospect. I have only seen this one time in the last 25yrs or so that a pot did not get the recognition he or she deserves was a great girl from Fed hock which went on to play at a great college very disappointing makes me wonder about tvc coaches. I don't know about Guthrie royalty.... But this kid absolutely deserves it!

Just seen Guthrie was named POY for the District, would have a hard time believing he doesn't win TVC player of the year too

Re: TVC HOCKING POY
Yea you would think that if a player is worthy enough to be POY for the AP District picks that he would get the POY honors for his league too. Unfortunately, it's not how it ends up sometimes, especially since it's a different group of voters. The AP District picks are chosen by a media panel while the TVC and District 13 picks are chosen by the coaches' votes.tomcat fan wrote:Just seen Guthrie was named POY for the District, would have a hard time believing he doesn't win TVC player of the year too
