Trimble vs Waterford DIV district final

When the seeds were determined the TVC was a three horse race, and Waterford had played less games than SG and Trimble. Thats the only thing I can think of.

Seeds are voted on by the coaches.Since SG beat Waterford bye double digits they thought SG was a better team.Games played most of the times not a factor.Also some coaches play around with their own seeding when time to vote.If they can't get the 1 seed they may try for a 3 or 4 for match up reasons.Big time in baseball.Football no way to do it.Believe me it happens,if you can stay away from a team until a final they try .I have seen it done more then once.Your coach is not going to tell the players this or the fans,but I know you have wounded before why a team you surly thought should have had a better seed did not ,this is what happens some times plus you may not even get the votes from your own league members either.Some schools flat out will not vote for you.

Waterford didn't lose by double digits to SG and they also didn't lose to wahama

Waterford lost to Fort Frye and South Gallia shortly before the draw and along with Trimble & SG had 2 league losses at the time (with 2-3 games left). Trimble & SG played twice AFTER the draw, which put SG in a distant 3rd place from the co-champs, but you know....too late.

I've always thought it was dumb to have the draw before the season is over and I don't buy any of the reasons for doing it that way, especially now with online voting. So, unlucky for these two teams, they can't both win a District title.

Should be a great game. Trimble beat Waterford bye 3 at home. Waterford beat Trimble bye 3 at their place. Neutral site should make for a great game. Waterford shoots the ball from the perimeter very, very well.

If Waterford shoots the basketball the way they did against Eastern Pike, I look for Wateford to move on, especially if Trimble comes out sleep walking like they did vs. ports clay.

I think that is what they wanted.Should have been 2 seed in the other bracket but they must have wanted to play Trimble in the final thought they had a better chance I guess.You can pick and choose what bracket at least you use to be able to.They problem should have lobbied for the 1 seed in the other bracket,after last nights games SG and Belpre should have won been a no brainer for a 1 seed in that bracket,could of had a chance for 2 TVC teams making it to the regionals.Just my thinking for what it is worth.

Things haven't worked like that in over 20 years.
