Board voted to non-renew last evening. Coach Duckworth had the Tigers headed in the right direction....Shades of Meadowbrook?

Headed in the right direction........? I do not believe they won very many games during his tenure. Not even close to what Coach Arnold accomplished at Meadowbrook!

How could he be headed in the right direction if he didn't have a winning season in his years of coaching and had a track record like his

... had Coach Duckworth been brought back as the MHS head man - I had the Tigers in my top 15-20 teams in Southeastern Ohio to start the 2016-17 campaign ... outstanding group of players coming back for Marietta ... I was extremely impressed with their Sectional performance at both ends of the court ...

... whoever takes over should have 15 wins or it would be a disappointing season imo - especially with the talent MHS brings back ...

I thought the Marietta coach did a pretty solid job. I watched them give Caldwell all they wanted in the holiday tournament this year. I'm not sure getting 15 wins is any sort of lock in their league. They play New Philly, Zanesville, Dover, Cambridge, Meadowbrook, Rosecrans among others. Throw in Warren twice and that's a tough way to go.

I would hope they would give Caldwell a game. Should never lose to a d4 team when you are a d1/d2 school.
we need to move on from this debacle and hire a new coach. If he truly is for the kids then let them move on. The kids are the ones suffering now. It's now June, the most important month for high school basketball off season.

If not afforded another coaching opportunity, I hope coach Duckworth rejoins the Warrior program.

I heard that Seth Martin has taken the helm at Marietta.

You can take the boy out of the 'ville, but you can't take the 'ville out of the boy!!

Interesting. So he backed out of the Meadowbrook job to come to Marietta?

Wow, what is this? The 6th job in 8 years for Seth? I know it's at least 4 in 4. That's not something I'd be totally comfortable with as a supporter or player.

I think Marietta should go after Lou (scotter's) son he would be better than anything they have had for years

Very very toxic situation at Marietta right now. Not sure any coach within 100 mile radius would take this job right now.

Numerous summer leagues (already paid for), shootouts (already paid for), and the Eastern camp cancelled by the athletic director. Volunteer coaches were already put in place to handle these duties. The kids are the ones suffering and nobody (administration and BOE) seem to care.

Sad situation to say the least.

Most coaches usually get a one year contract no matter how many years you have in coaching duck worth needs to move on if you would see his file as a coach nobody would hire him he thinks no rules apply to him so move on.
