OH
And head coach jim derrow was not there
i Dont know why
but i think it might have been closer if the rockets had their head coach
Ondera played great

Cant remember the final
And dani i guess i left some key details
the rockets started subbing some jv kids and kids that dont usually play in the mid third quarter and oak hills starters played until bout 2 minutes
Im not saying there is anything wrong with leaving your starters in
but if the other team starts subbing out and the game is pretty much in the bag
then put in some kids and give them an opportunity to play
AND show some class
Best of Luck to the Oaks
Ill root for you in the tourney

Mobster- I definetly wasn't there, but it seems like most coaches will leave their starters in, until the other coach seems to concede the game. It doesn't sound like that happened tonight, that's too bad too.

Don't really know the mobmans motive, but I would like to clarify one thing. NONE, and I mean NONE, of the Oaks starters played any of the 4th quarter. Wellston had 16 points at halftime, scored 5 in the 3rd period, and Zero in the 4th.

It was a good first quarter atleast. The score was back and forth and I believe Oak Hill was ahead 16-11 or something like that at the end of the first? This shows you how much Coach Derrow means to Wellston. That 60-point loss into something way way smaller. There wasn't really any discipline out there for the Wellston boys. Best of luck to both teams!

if any team would be beat by 8th graders it would be the oaks from 2 years ago

i love how i was joking and you have to put down the oaks from 2 years ago but it doesn't matter about them from 2 years ago because look right now 81-21 and to the comment about us running up the score.. it would have been worse if we would have played the varsity the whole 2nd half

Hey Boeck
I was just jokin too
and im not saying danis a liar but the starters played at least half the fourth quarter
which would be 4 minutes
and the rockets had already started subbing in and i am not complaining
because sometimes its part of the game
I am just letting you know this because this makes oak hill sound like a powerhouse and they are not
just ask valley
But they are a good team and will prolly make it far in the tournament
I know some of the guys on their team and i will be rooting for them
But sometime in the future wellston or someone else will be better than oak hill and they will press and leave their starters in the game

This is true, maybe Wellston was just getting theirs.

No starters from Oak Hill played any of the 4th qtr. The 4th qtr was played by second team and Jv players.
And as far as Wellston playing players from Jv,those same players played in the 1st half against OVC when I watched that game. Oak Hill did not try to run up the score, Wellston just gave up.

How was the scoring for the Oak...individually?

Are the transfers from Jackson doing as good as expected?

Kyle Ondera led a quartet of Oak Hill scores with 18 points. J.D Hale and Casey Love tossed in 17 points each while Ryan Borden added 10 markers

Kyle Ondera impressed me the most
But Borden definitely has more of a scoring ability
Hale is definite double-double
