bronc21,

Yes, according to the school website, Jackson has only 7 varsity players right now. I think the Ironmen started the season with at least 9, but that number has gone down to only 7 as of right now.

I know of one that quit recently...not sure about the other. Don't really know for sure what the circumstances were.

The Ironmen are definitely undermanned. I know that a lot of times teams will only play 7 or 8 players extensively, but it would be nice to have enough players to give your guys a short break every once in a while. That's why I really appreciate what those 7 players are doing. They might not be winning many games, but you can't fault them for their heart and dedication.

Ironman92, The Jackson kids gave a valiant effort and did not quit. In fact the Coach was still teaching until the end. I give credit to the kids, the coach and the parents of those kids who are encouraging the kids to hang in there.

The Cavs are #3 in the state and they are playing like the #3 team in the state.

NO....They played there whole complete bench. As a matter of fact, a larger percentage of points came at the end of the 4th period when several 3's were hit by the 3rd stringers, playing against Jackson's 1st string. So if I see that start on here, all I would say is....the score would not be 104-40, it would of been something like 130-26. Coach K played the complete bench. Period :!:

Chilly was still shooting three's with that big of a lead?????

Sure, you're not going to tell the kids to stop playing hard, but shooting three's!!!!!

Just remember, what goes around comes around.

yabbadabbadoo....you shoot when you are open, whether its a layup or a 3. you dont owe the other team that much to take a dribble in and make sure you shoot a 2.

You know what, I had this big long post wrote out but decided not to post it. You guys have a very nice team and if you think you need to embarrass every team you play and beat them by 30-40 points, then so be it.

I just know that if I was the coach and I was winning by 30 or more and my team was shooting nothing but three's, I would call a timeout and tell them to cool it and to just hold the ball. There is a time and place to work on your three point shot. In a 64 point victory is not it. JMO

Good luck Cavs the rest of the season!!!!!!!

Why should kids that don't get much playing time come in and just hold the ball? They practice hard every day to help make the front line guys as good as they are and when they get a chance they should be able to play basketball no matter what kind of shot they take. Sure you don't press but they deserve to shoot and score even if it's three

its not like they were shooting just 3's. they were just running the offense and the 3's just happened to be what was open for them. good to see the backups get all that playing time. they deserve it.
