The 94.3 guys were dogging NA a bit while I was listening.

ZT is good enough to upset them....but NA is a tough upset come tourney time.

I'll say it was more of calling for the "home" team than anything. They would be pulling for Southeastern and giving listeners reasons why SE could've gotten back in the game.

I'll say North Adams in a close one.

Mike Smith and Tom Beard @ 94.3 have done an excellent job for years calling SVC games on the radio. And they always support local teams during the tourney.

"Sure are a lot of holes in this North Adams defense"

"Looks to me like there are a lot of ways to attack this team"

And I wasn't at the game obviously...but they were quite homerific in regards to the officiating going against SE on many calls. (which could've been true)

You can not take anything away from North Adams...they are a very solid basketball team...The kids know how to play and where to be on the court...they are very well coached.

The SVC usually has a hard time when it comes to making a run come tournament time. Southeastern would be the exception, but not this year. North Adams has probably played as much as any other team at the convo. I dont know anything about ZT this year, but I'll still take the Devils in this one!

ZT by 5. They are on a pretty good run and NA is really on a slide.

Ironman- I actually saw that the same way, but SE's 2 guards both had off nights and then they kept missing Corcoran in the 2nd half.

The refs weren't good, BUT, most of the time they aren't.

If NA can't force ZT to take bad shots, ZT will win, IMO. ZT shoots the ball very well and works the ball around even better. This should be a pretty good game.

Zane Trace played their best offensive game in two years against Portsmouth.

They slid some in the Lynchburg game but game back pretty well against Hillsboro. North Adams has the ingredients to be a very tough out. They have very good size and can go inside or outside. They also have a pretty good bench. If they are focused and take advantage of their strengths they will be fine. They are at their best when they go inside/out but at times they tend to throw around the perimeter a bit too much and settle for outside shots.
I haven't seen Zane Trace so I don't know how they match up. If they handle the press well and don't get fatigued they will give North Adams trouble.

I just see losing to Whiteoak and LC as a sign of a "slide". Maybe LC is a bit of legitimacy, but not Whiteoak, not this year. NA was too good.

BoZo, ill agree with u on this one Zt by around 5......i would love to see Zt pull this one out and make it to the Convo!
Zt has been on a role lately winning 11 out of their last 12 including the Portsmouth game in which they scored 80 points there best offensive performence of the year...Maxwell has been steppin up huge lately for the Pioneers!! and so have the other players Zt plays like a Team its a total team effort everytime they step onto the hardwood!

Go Pioneers
