This was in the district semifinals.

yabba it was the disctrict semis versus eastern brown. Spradlin had a look at 3 with 15 seconds or so that woulda put them up 1. He missed. Cowgill had a look at three with 5 secs and missed, miller got the board and was fouled, but missed a free throw. I think that was what happend I could certainly be wrong though. These guys HAVE been there and will be successful because they are competitors.

Burg defense keeps opponents scoring to a minimum. Need to keep Jenkins scoring from the outside. Helps to free up Spradlin. Team with a good inside game will give the Pirates fits. Good luck Pirates.

thanx for the conclusion of that game vs EB. it was a great look by a frosh that looked good in the air, but missed. I dont remember anything after that. I guess i was in DENIAL!!

Piketon doesnt seem to have that big inside game to give Burg fits. I could be wrong, we match up size wise very well.

GO BURG!

That wasn't me talking about that game.

Still have 4 days until game time. Just to much time off in between games.

Does anyone remember when they used to play the District semi-finals and championships on back to back nights? I know for sure they did it in 1984, because a bunch of us stayed at the OU Inn Friday night and man what a party.

Burg played Waverly on Friday and then had to play Portsmouth on Saturday. Now that was crazy.

Piketon has a freshman post player that is very athletic. He's a heck of a shot blocker and changes many others......on the flip side he is very prone to fowl trouble. If that is the match up don't be surprised if Burg goes right at him. They will also have to limit turn overs against Burgs smothering D.

I think it comes down to shooting. If Piketon can hit some 3's it should be competitive. If not....look out! Burg by a bunch.

Brabson and Smith have been playing pretty well the last 5 or 6 games, the freshman post player your talking is Brush. If he dosent get in foul trouble he will be a big impact in this game! I think if the Streaks just contain Spradlin i think they will be just fine!!!

Brabson and Smith have descent size too. I don't think size match ups will be the problem. Turn overs and scoring will be the problem.

Well the weather isnt cooperating here in the village, lets hope that Athens is open come Sunday. No matter the outcome, the Streaks have built a successful run and this will carry over into next season and many more to come. Good luck to both, Lets Go Streaks!

Burg played one of the best shot blockers in our county in Sean Louder from West. This kid can get up and down. Burg adjusted and we overcame by like 40 pts. Piketon had better get ready for this game like they have played someone like Chilli or something. Only thing going for Piketon is the 7 day layoff. Good luck to both teams!

Also, if you stack Spradlin, Andy Stegman and his Bro will bring it every trip down the court. And when you bank on them, Jenkins will kill you along with cook. And just when you think you got it figured out, Proehl comes in at 6-4 and hounds you on offense and defense. Then if you get really cocky, JT Conley can get hot from 3 land and burn a few. But they all play defense!! That is what is so amazing.

Isn't a Miffin something like a cupcake? Oh, no, that's MUFFIN isn't it?

How much did Piketon beat Miffin by?

Piketon didn't beat Mifflin. And I dont think that Mifflin is that much of a cupcake...They are like Division II.
