Nigel picked up his 3rd foul about a minute into 3rd qtr and sat out until the 4th. I think they should have kept him in and played him. He's a smart enough ball player to know not to pick up any more cheap ones plus he has never fouled out of a game this year. When he did come back in the 4th qtr, he had cooled down a bit and missed a couple of shots. I thought Brice Owings played a great game but he too got into foul trouble. Have to mention all those traveling calls against Ryan and Nigel, they were terrible. Got to give credit to VC, they played good ball down the stretch. Also got to give credit to L.B., he's got a lot of heart. Not sure what type of leg injury he has but it looked like it was bothering him the whole game but he toughed it out and played well. Good luck to VC in the tournament, represent the TVC well.

one thing i did not understand is the sitting of the courts kid he was the one keeping wellston in the game.not a good way to leave your senior year .it seems wellston coaching staff cost the rockets this game and the non playing of the other brown kid what a waste he would be starting for most teams when he was out there the ball moved and the game tempo was in wellston favor.i really could not tell who the coach for wellston was it seemed to me the asst made all the calls for the seniors great job keep your heads up enjoy your tournament

I busted out the ol West Virginia sweatshirt so I would have blue & gold colors on last night B1Minus! lol

And I sooooooooooooooooooo agree with your statement ... Wellston had nothing to lose last night, they had their rival on the ropes, you have a smart player who's a senior playing on senior night ... You leave him in tha game and go for it! The Golden Rockets had everything going for them early in that 3rd quarter - if Nigel is left in the game I think that 9-point lead grows to double digits heading into the 4th - and then all you have to do is run that clock down in the last frame ... A player with 3 fouls can lay back a little and can be protected if the team has a descent lead - which Wellston had when they sat him down ... Like I said, given the circumstances - there is no way in heck that kid comes out of the game ... I would have played him until he fouled out! lol

BTW ... I know I've been a little harsh on Wellston a few times this year - but one thing is for sure - I've made up for it when it comes to their team page on trivalleyconference.com ... Rockets played a great game but just lost it in the end. I feel coaching hurt them this game. At one point our point guard was begging the coach to call a time out and he wouldn't. This happened to be when the Vikings took the lead. Not to mention missing foul shots and a lot of bad calls for both sides. Not sure why Nigel was out either but coach does that all the time. Nigel definitely is an asset to Rocket basketball and should be POY. Congrats seniors on a great night. It's a shame Wellston wasn't able to play less on the road because it would have been better for them. Gonna miss our Seniors no doubt, especially the skills of our pointguard..Craig who IMO is the best ball handler in the league. Look forward to tourney time and a great season next year.

I agree about leaving Courts in the game at that point could have made a difference in how the Rockets played out the quarter. On-the- other-hand, the biggest part of the comeback came in the 4th quarter with Nigel on the court. Great game over all too bad someone had to lose.
Now I wamt the Bulldogs to beat Nellsonville-York, and play well in tourney make it to the CONVO!
