3/9 6:30 @ Athens: Meadowbrook vs. Chillicothe
Re: 3/9 6:30 @ Athens: Meadowbrook vs. Chillicothe
will be suprised if the game is within 40, if any cavs fans stayed for the game the other night, meadowbrook isnt as good as vinton county, smaller + less athletic= final 4.
Go Cavs.
Go Cavs.
Re: 3/9 6:30 @ Athens: Meadowbrook vs. Chillicothe
I'd say the cavs by however much they much. Meadowbrook isnt nearly as skilled as vinton and they will have no answer for chambers. i also think the constant ball that chilli slams on everyone will be hard for them to get past too!
GOOD LUCK CAVS!!

Also did they go after Humpty or not? OU has been missing some great local talent that would improve interest in OU basketball. You can throw Dante into this as well.
You, my friend, have said a mouthful with your post. They've really missed out on some local talent that would improve the program, and increase fan interest, for sure!

Just a quick observation on the OU topic, but I thought I read where there were only 3,000 people at a conference (MAC) game last week. I hope that is not true. If so, OU does need to generate some local interest. Nice venue, nice league, and a great area for fan support.

Some quotes from Meadowbrook Head Coach Keith Arnold.
They appeared in the Daily Jeffersonian.
Looking at the daunting task of facing Chillicothe on Saturday, Arnold feels his team will be ready. "We'll have our work cut out for us," he admitted. "Chilli is an excellent team and our kids are really going to have to step up and meet the challenge.
"We'll have to take care of the ball and value our possessions," Arnold related, "but we still have to stay aggressive. We can't play on our heels, because they'll come after us and try to trap us as much as possible. We'll try to limit (senior guard Anthony) Hitchens as much as possible and we're going to have to rebound, because they'll definitely have the size advantage on us.
"We have to be firing on all pistons...but we're not done yet," he continued. "We're in the "Elite Eight' and anything can happen from here."
Arnold " who has become Meadowbrook's all-time winningest boys' basketball coach during the current tournament run " was particularly complimentary of the throng of Meadowbrook faithful that supported the team in Athens.
In four years at MHS, Arnold now sports a 56-35 record, moving him past Bill Cantor (Meadowbrook's first coach from 1965-68 who was 52-26) and Tom Boehm (who was 50-48 in two stints with the Colts from 1989-92 and 2000-2001).

Hitchbone64,
Wishing our CAVS good luck. I wish that I could watch our CAVS tomorrow, especially winning the Regional. But duty calls. I am on a long flight leaving in the morning for Uncle Sam. Headed to the land of enchantment.
I will be in Japan.
I will hopefully be seeing our CAVS, via the internet win the whole thing this season.
God Bless....to all the kids and coaching staff on the CAVS Team. They have been an inspiration for many future young CAVS, like our son who is a first grader at Allen Elementry. His hero is Humpty this season.
He played Upward's Bound B-Ball this year and would always tell me he was driving the ball to the hoop just like Humpty.
GO CAVS...refuse to lose

Army, thats a great story about your son and i have a similar one i thought i'd share with you.
There is a family that goes to our church and they have a young daughter who goes to all the Cavs games with them and her hero is also humpty. After the Logan Elm game, in which Hump was feeling a little banged up and down after a poor performance, our grandpa went and found Hump to tell him one of his biggest fans was in the Convo. Humpty went up to the 2nd deck and found the little girl and spent some time talking with her and telling her thanks for coming to the game. Grandpa said it made her night and she was beaming! I'm sure other kids on the team have done similar things and its a great reminder that Chilli's players are aware of what they represent and its just a good group of kids that i'm proud to root for.
