Eastern has played a more difficult schedule than ND and won their head to head matchup.

Eaglesnest, I'll agree Eastern has played a tougher non conference schedule, but who in that non conference games did they beat? Valley by 7, Minford by 9, Piketon by 13, Zane Trace 20. They beat ND at home by 2 on a very controversial call at the end of the game. With respect to both, I would have given the edge to Eastern early on but now we're down the stretch I feel like Notre Dame is playing better basketball. Deciding factor will come Saturday when the two meet up again at Notre Dame.

I am aware of the non-conference losses for Eastern (Minford was 5 by btw). My point is Notre Dame would be 11-5 or so if they played the same schedule. Eastern had won their only head to head so ranking ND ahead of them makes no sense to me. There was no controversy on the call at Eastern? Point: the best ND can do is split with Eastern IF ND wins tomorrow night I would be ok with listing them as Co-#1's, but that is just me.

How do you say they would be 11-5? Who is to say they wouldn't beat some of the teams you have losses to? 5,7,13 points can swing either way. I am not sure why it's so hard to see ND ranking ahead. The teams met early in the season and I feel ND has improved more and is playing better basketball at this point of the year. Just because a team beats another team doesn't mean they are better at the end of the year. I'm not putting you guys down at all. I'm just trying to explain my logic. Look forward to a hard fought clean game Saturday.

I am not knocking ND at all. I know they have a nice team. I do not think they would be the "favorite" in any of the 4 losses that Eastern has. But, upsets do happen (S.Webster for you this year) and that is why you play the game. Just as you can't see why I don't understand your side, I have no idea why you can't see that the head to head matchup means nothing in your ranking. We can not look at any common non-league opponent?

Anyhow, I hope ND and Eastern both represent well in the tourney. Personally, I hope Eastern keeps ND from even a "share" of the SOC I title. This will likely be ND's best shot in a long while.

Time will tell.

Safe to say ND is on top of the power rankings now? Great win by ND tonight, Eastern has a great program.

Not from Eastern but i would still give them the nod over ND or if anything they should be tied in the rankings a the top. No way does ND come away with wins from any of the teams Eastern lost to. just my opinion.

Notre Dame has a nice team, strong, quick, and athletic. But, look at both head to had games. Eastern won by 2 at home. Notre Dame won by 2 at home. How can you say either team is stronger than the other. They split! Now, there is plenty that I could say about the phantom calls and no calls the last 2 minutes of the game, but instead I will say Congrats to ND!

Hope the Eagles and ND go far in the tourney...best of luck!.
