Maxpreps is great to use but sometimes they wont have updated standings on their site. For example, Whiteoak is missing scores from a couple games and i'm sure there are quite a few others. This will throw off the state rankings and make it inaccurate.

I could really care less which teams are on someone's top 25, 10, or 8....it's just an opinion and made for fun. No reason to get offended or bent out of shape if a team is missing.

I think a great case could be made for Waverly being ahead of Fairland in your rankings. They have identical records with their worst losses both being to Oak Hill. Fairlands best win is against South Webster which was by 25. Waverly has beaten South Webster by 28 and 10. Fairlands other losses have all been to a good Chesapeake team. Waverly's other losses have come to very quality opponents in Ironton, Warren, and Valley.

MaxPrep Rankings

Manchester #446
Minford #473
Notre Dame #436
Sheridan #437
Southeastern #407
Oak Hill #434
I took the time to look it all up on Max Preps last night as you suggested. What I found was Manchester is 28th in the entire Southeast, with 3 others (Jackson, Webster and Minford) not far behind them. So, out of the top 31 teams in the Southeast, the Hounds are 28th, which doesn't solidify them as a rock-solid Top 25 team. I'm still waiting for streetballer to answer my question, how many teams have they beaten with a winning record?

One thing I did notice, to Manchester's credit, is that they were the 3rd highest ranked Div 4 team in the Southeast, behind Southern and Notre Dame.

Sorry I didn't read all the posts on this topic so maybe this has been covered but just looking at the initial top 25 can you explain how Marietta is ahead of Belpre when Belpre won head to head and have a much better record? I know Belpre plays an easier schedule but Racine Southern is very good as well so Belpre's only losses are to FF Warren x2 and Racine Southern........ Not too shabby and they won the head to head matchup. Please enlighten me.

College RPI Rankings

Ohio University 19-5 #89
Virginia Tech 13-11 #89

Now, why on Earth would a 13-11 team have the same RPI as a 19-5 Ohio U. team? Its called SOS. Ask people from Warren who they would rather play between Marietta and Belpre? The only D4 team Marietta has played this year is State Ranked Zanesville Rosecrans. Dont get me wrong, Belpre is a very good basketball team and is deserving of being ranked where they are (#18 SED Top 25/ #17 PFloyds) with the chance of moving up if they continue to win.

Jesco, I did it again. Sorry, Man! lol
