Should be a win for Chillicothe. I am going to say an easy win at that. Sure hope I am right. I really wanna see my Cavs play in the Convo again!

Go Cavs!

Tough to beat a decent team three times in a season. Chilly will have to play really, really well. Good Luck CAVS!!!!

This is what Chilli lives for. The brutal schedule that they endured all year has got them the #1 seed and coach K has them ready for the tourney. Not our best team I will admit but anything less than another Athens trip will be a huge disappointment for the Cavaliers. I really really really want to see Unioto and Chilli square off in Athens. Wishful thinking but would love to see the two Ross county rivals meet in the convo. Go Shermans and Go Cavs

Cavs will win but the big man and the teams ability to get him the ball has been shameful at best. Hi stock has went way down. Portsmouth just man handled them. Sorry

His stock has went down in your eyes. Malik London is a force inside. Portsmouth is a very good team however they are in a different division. This Cavs team will try to win another sectional and district championship.

Looking forward to this game tomorrow. Chillicothe won on a buzzer beater in Jackson, so the Ironmen are capable of playing with the Cavs. It'll take a great effort, but hopefully Jackson can keep it close going into the 4th quarter and give themselves a chance to get the win.

No problem..Chillicothe sold out of their tickets, should be a great crowd...the tournament is what the Cavs measure their success on..playing a rough schedule getting them ready for the run..Cavs will have to play from start to finish and take care of the ball..the Cavs figured out Jackson's D last time they met and Aaron Elliot went off for 26 pts...Should be a good game...good luck to both teams tho! GO CAVS!!!!!!!!

Very good game at the Cavs 2nd home this evening. Jackson put up a valiant effort in a very physical game. Cavs get the 3 game sweep against the Ironmen, but had to work hard to get it done. As I have said multiple times, I believe Jackson is far better than their record. IMO, they could easily had. 6 seed in the sectional. No disrespect to anyone else, but come tourney time you need a tough team with a shot maker. Colt Chapman is a beast and a shot maker.

Overall, the Stats fall in the Cavs favor except the 3 ball's. From my seat here is what I had.

Cavs led after 1 qtr, 12-6. Jackson outscored Cavs in 2nd period 8-4, as the Cavs get turnover happy. Halftime score 16-14 in favor of the #1 seed. If my memory serves me right both teams shot a cold 33% in the half.

Cavs get off early and make a nice run in the third before the Ironman got hot. Cavs win the quarter 11-10 to lead 27-24 headed to the 4th quarter. At this point it was the Chapman show and some timely 3 balls and layups to keep Jackson right there. London led Chilly in the 3rd as the ball made it's way inside. Cavs pressure also sped up the Ironman which played to the Cavs favor.

4th quarter was all Zach Johnson and the Cavs. Johnson showed why he will be one of the top returning players in the Southeast District next year. Chapman and Johnson guarded each other all night, but Chapman did not get any defensive help as you can't leave London. Johnson goes 9-14 from the field with a variety of drives, mid range jumpers and getting to the free throw line. Cavs outscore Jackson 22-14 with Johnson and London accounting for 18 of those. The lead got up to I believe 18 before Hit some late buckets including a last second 3 ball.

STATS look like this:

Cavs win rebounding battle 28-24

Jackson ends up with 15 turnovers to the Cavs 11

Cavs go 17-34 for 50% from the field while shootin 60% plus in the 2nd half.

Jackson ends up 14-39 for a cool 35%.

Jackson leads 3 ball shooting while connecting on 5-20. Cavs shot 1-7 from 3 ball including a few end of quarter launches

From a shooting perspective, Cavs played mid-range in while Jackson lived outside the arc.

Free throws become lopsided as Jackson started fouling late. Cavs go 14-25 while missing 5 late freebies when game was out of reach. Jackson shots 5-10 for 50%, as Chapman was the only one who would take it to the bucket.

Overall, solid start to the tourney for the Cavs after Upset Friday. Cavs have got to play better to keep advancing. However this is the survive and move on season. Kudo's to the Ironmen. Especially Chapman and the other seniors. I believe at a 6 seed they may have been at the Convo.

GO CAVS!!! ONE HEARTBEAT!

Great recap, hitchbone.

Good effort by the Ironmen, but the Cavs played very well down the stretch. Congrats to Chillicothe and good luck the rest of the way.

Thanks to the Jackson seniors for all their hard work and dedication. Great job, guys!
