Alexander vs. Bloomc Carroll

Post by strokn7 »

Game being played at 6:15 on Saturday at Zane Trace High School in the annual Tip Off Classic. What does everyone think? I've heard Alexander is very good and will compete for the league title. BC has lost their best player to a broken shoulder blade and will be out 5-6 more weeks.

Not much to say about this game? Sounds to me like Bloom Carroll is going to have their hands full.

Game was 48-45. BC was up 15 at half and let Alexander creep back into it. Alexander played very hard and very well in the 2nd half. BC on the other hand played a pitiful 2nd half and are really focused on improving these next couple days in practice.

What excuse was ever made for BC? Simply said they lost their best player for 6-8 weeks. BC won so there were obviously no excuses made about the outcome.

I believe it's a knee injury...possibly an ACL from what I have heard. Can't confirm anything though. If it is indeed an ACL...he's probably done for the season.

Yes, he is done for the season.
Most likely out for baseball too. He was Alexander's best baseball player.

Boy, I hate to hear this. Matt, is a great kid, and a nice baseball player.

Got to see him play legion ball with my son, so it is especially disheartening to hear that he's out for a good while.

That is very unfortunate. He's a coach's dream. He'd run through a wall if you asked him to. Very respectful and just an all around great person.

970 WATH-AM in Athens had Alexander's Blaine Gabriel on "The Sears Sports Fan" last night. He talked about the contest against Maysville, the rest of the TVC-Ohio, his squad's injuries and a whole lot more in a really fun interview.

If you missed it, go to http://www.thesportsfan.mypodcast.com and click on the link to listen to the show.

Thanks.

BBS24- You have described Matt exactly. I hope he gets healthly as soon as possible and I'm not going to underestimate him. If he works as hard on rehab as he does everything else, he will suprise us.

Good Luck Sheetsie.
