Dave Parsons is the new coach for the high school but I'm not sure who will coach the team in the summer league

Belpre lost it's first summer league game against Williamstown 54-53.Belpre was short handed due to some of it's players playing Legion baseball for the new Marietta-Belpre team. They had a total of 6 players.Belpre scoring was - Pat Slattery-15,RaShawn Miller-11,Channing Parsons and Eric Waderker-9,Jamal ?-6 and Jordan Williams - 3. Two games are scheduled for Friday the 12th but Legion team is also playing so team will be short handed again

I read the Plummer is coaching the summer league. It's funny how they are winning now with him good it be that the bad attitudes are playing legion baseball? Also isn't one of their dads coaching the legion team. Just seemed a little interesting to me.

Once again you don't know these kids or anything about their attitudes and you must not read very well if you read that Plummer is coaching the summer league team. He has not been around this team and will not be in the future.Get the facts right before you post.

Coach Plummer runs the mens summer league @ Civitan Park. The manager for the Belpre/Marietta Legion team doesn't have a kid playing basketball @ Belpre. He loves baseball and wants to help bring back Legion baseball to Belpre. You may see the same faces at alot of Belpre sporting events supporting their kids and other kids and I guess I don't know why you take shots at guys willing to volunteer their time to help out area kids, without Mr. Logue, Mr. Azar, Mr. Tate & Mr. Ullman and others Belpre wouldn't have even put a Legion team together. I applaud those men and women who don't talk about helping but are there working hard for the kids. That's called giving back!! Thank you volunteers!!!!!

Glad to hear that Brooks Sizemore is improving, he could really help us if he is used right...very big body inside and sint afraid to push some people around....also Josh Campbell could be a force this year....Belpre shouild be a very very good team this year.

Oh my bad I maybe meant Coach Tate for the Legion. I know he was coaching at first base when they played at Athens and got tossed by the umpire in the second game and his son plays on the Legion team. I thought his son was coming back next year and would only be a senior and since he played basketball that he would again. So yes my bad on the term Manager vs. Coach.

Coach Plummer is a great guy by the way. Do bad it didn't work out for him at Belpre.

I do also think is was smart move for Belpre to move down to the Hocking where they will be more competitive in the future. Good luck to the kids.
