Did the best player in the SE play for Athens that day? Can't rely on summer results. Nobody ever won a state title by winning a summer game.Chieftain2009 wrote:Logan v. Athens scrimmage this Saturday. Will Logan torch them again like they did in the Summer?

I believe he did, but maybe one of the Athens guys can help with that? Was he still recovering form that injury in the summer?FannyPack wrote:Did the best player in the SE play for Athens that day? Re: Logan 2016-2017
Logan's too busy playing OCC teams to get ready for tournament play (Lancaster, Westerville South and Central, Newark, Canal; plus Marion Harding and Zanesville).thebarlowbandit wrote:loganlocos wrote:Of course.thebarlowbandit wrote:
Logan cut and run from Athens boys no doubt, and they dropped the girls after 5 straight losses. We are the only ones who weren't afraid of Athens.
I mean, Logan and Athens girls not playing in 2015-16 had NOTHING to do with the fact that Athens new head coach had a daughter on Logan's team.
Are they playing this year? She graduated!

Don't forget the ones that played for Haydenville Tech and Gore Techthebarlowbandit wrote:Raider6309 wrote:Logan dropped Athens after the 2012-2013 season. Athens picked up national power Akron SVSM. Logan wanted no part of Athens

Lot of good ball players from Mingo and The National Guards.Raider6309 wrote:Don't forget Mingo Park and The Armory. Logan's finest
Noticed Athens left town to play in the Plains can't figure why they didn't go to Dover.

Chauncey was probably flooded. Last time I drove through Chauncey, I saw a boxing ring in someone's back yardnoreply66 wrote:Lot of good ball players from Mingo and The National Guards.

Logan headed to Great event tomorrow night at Worthington.
They will face: Dublin Scioto, T. Worthington, Hilliard Darby, Eastmoor, Olentangy Liberty and Marion Harding. Should be a great tune up.

I'm glad to see all the teams to the north on their schedule and scrimmages. That's their future. They will find a league soon or be a part of a possible new conference in that direction.
Re: Logan 2016-2017
How did the Chiefs do vs the Central District teams at the scrimmage last night ? looked like a BUNCH of teams playing in the scrimmage at Worthington ! ... In my opinion getting "film" vs THESE Central District teams to build TEAM & individual improvement around for the season is critical ...

Re: Logan 2016-2017
Logan went 3-3 last night
They got "wins" vs Dublin Scioto, Harding and Columbus West. Lost to Darby by 2, TW was a 4 point defeat and Eastmoor was a larger defeat. All in all good exposure for Logan to play those types of teams to get ready

Re: Logan 2016-2017
Later this week, Logan plays in two scrimmages.
Friday vs. Grove City
Saturday vs. Chillicothe

Re: Logan 2016-2017
Grove City will be a tough challenge for sure. They will be led by Anthony Tyree; 6-5 SF/PF. He can defend and jump and is very athletic. He scored 24 points in 4 quarters vs Dublin Coffman last week. He reminds me of the kid from Chillicothe a few years ago, Malik London. GC also has a solid 2 guard in Zach Sammeth (6-2 SR) he hit 5 threes vs Coffman last week and can shoot it from anywhere. Logan will need to guard very well. PJ Jones will be starting his 3rd season at PG for GC and his is the floor leader for them and he is getting serious looks from Ohio Dominican. They also have another solid guard in Matt Burgess and Logan's guards will be tested a lot with this scrimmage. I am anxious to see a 6-5 Caden Landis vs Tyree and to see how our young guards play vs their aggressive experienced guards.
