Waterford won that game.

North Adams beat Chesapeake by one point in a very entertaining game. North Adams was down by two points and the ball was in Craig Unger's hands for North Adams in the front court with less than 10 seconds to play. Chesapeake had just hit two free throws to go up by two points. Anyway, you could just tell that Unger was going to take the last shot and he pulled up and nailed a contested three from about 22 feet out to give North Adams a one point lead with 4 seconds remaining. Chesapeake got a desparation shot off following two time-outs but didn't come close.

Logan42 West Musking 41. Logan was ahead by 9 at one point into the game......
Angle MVP.17 points
Once again not to many points from the starters Mays had 9 then Dietz,,,,
Myers subst, a little more than he generally does but there is not way that Hart should not be at least 6 man off the bench. Everytime he is in he is 110%. He scores today with just being in under 30 seconds as well as some others that came in and scored fast . and as soon as they score or get that spark off the bench they are jerked out.....
Overall a pretty good win for the chiefs... They play Bloom Carroll Tuesday. Again there is more than just 3 members on that team......... I was sitting with a fellow from Peebles today and boy he just could not believe the talent that Logan has and its not used..... its a good thing that the fellows are sticking with it . Anyway good luck to all the chiefs for Tuesdays game.. Will have to get scores off of here so hopefully the Floyd will keep me posted scouting a good Logan Elm team that does have a great coach......

Braves show a lot tonight. Going back to back and posting a convincing win over a good ballclub is very good.

Couldn't believe the Peebles/Alexander game, honestly Peebles should have blown that one wide open the 2nd half. But...they came out flatter and not with near the same intensity it seemed. Also, about mid-4th quarter it was starting to seem that the guys in black and white were being pulled the other direction. A lot of guys getting literally hammered/no calls, questionable calls etc.....Again, Peebles lost it for themselves but they certainly got no breaks that second half.

The officiating in the Peebles/Alex game was awful both ways. Alexander couldn't even breath on anohter player w/o getting a foul called on him. The foul with .6 secondsn left was awful. You don't make that call when you have both teams diving on the floor for a loose ball. Gutsy call to say the kid went over the line on the foul shot though too. Both teams had the right to be upset near the end of the game. It was a thriller though. Great comeback by Alex....I believe they were down 15 at one point and they were down 8 with like 1:56 left. They showed a lot of heart against a very good Peebles team.

What a day of basketball! Three games decided by 1 point. The Unger kid for NA but a dagger in the Chesy fans heart with a step back 3 with about four seconds left. The foul called with .6 secs left in the game was a mistake but Peebles has only themselves to blame for missing the freebies what a great comeback for the Spartans. I missed the Logan game but it must of been a nail biter too. The dragons from Fairland laid a big turd and looked as bad as I've ever seen them! The VC South Point game was a very good game with the Vikings ending SP regular season winning streak at 22. It was great to see and get to talk to trojandave and meet Pfloyd.

As for the boys from Fairland put this game behind you and get ready for your OVC games this week. Boys you are going to have to play with a lot more emotion and energy than you did yesterday if you want to get back to the Convo and I think you will be there when it is all said and done.

In the Peebles game, it was not shooter that was called for stepping on the line, it was #30, Seaman, that was called for a lane violation, AFTER, I might add, the ball hit the floor, very late call. If you were listening to the radio, they did say it was called on the shooter but that was wrong.

Two of the officials in that game did the West vs. Wheelersburg game and let me tell you do they love to call the fouls. I bet there was 60 or so fouls called down at West and they missed some obvious ones but called some questionable ones.

Yea I just heard that it wasn't on the shooter thir morning. I guess it was on the kid outside of the 3 point line...he came in too early I guess? Either way it was a questionable call...just like the fouls throughout the entire game. It was entertaining though.

There were to many questionable calls to count in that game! Bar none, that was the worst officiated high school basketball game I have ever had to suffer through. It is a shame that there is not an enforcement mechanism in place to supervise the performance of all officials. Those guys have no business what so ever officiating at the varsity level. Any A.D. who monitors this site needs to find out who those clowns were to make sure they do not get a chance to ruin anymore varsity basketball games this season. Alex and Peebles are for sure two fine teams and deserved better refs than what they had to endure Saturday night. On a good note, Congrats to the Spartans for battling back to get the win! Peebles Blake Justice in one of the nicest players I have seen in a long time! Good Luck to both teams the rest of the season!

It amazes me how this was the Holzer Clinic Inv. but there wasn't a school from Gallia County in it. Of course anything with the name Holzer in it isn't going to make sense to begin with...

Although Holzer Hospital itself (and then Holzer Clinic) started in Gallia County, they have expanded to surrounding counties including Athens Meigs and Jackson counties. I think Jackson County has both a Holzer Hospital and Holzer Clinic, and a brand new Holzer Clinic (with a wide range of doctor) just opened in Athens .. the new facility is as big as a hospital and covers many tests. Holzer Clinic has been very generous to supporting high school athletics around the area.
