Re: Ironton vs Manchester, Saturday the 13th
Whoa, slow down there Hammer. Many tough tests await the Tigers. Chesapeake, Wheelersburg, and Ashland all have good clubs this year and all are very well coached. Portsmouth (2 games), Logan, and Marietta will provide stern SEOAL tests based upon close games over the past few years. In addition, Ironton has never beaten Chillicothe (2 games), Zanesville, or Warren since re-joining the SEOAL, and would have to be considered underdogs against each of these teams. Ironton will be a decided underdog to Columbus Brookhaven, who will bring 3 D-I recruits into the Conley Center. Throw in the SEOAL Day of Champions game at the end of the year against the team closest to you in the league standings, and you have 13 difficult games against teams, almost all of which will likely end their respective seasons with winning records in 2008-2009.

I didnt figure it would be a really close game, although I did think Manchester could keep in within 20. Ironton seems to be loaded this year and looking to make another deep run like when Zornes was there. Hopefully the Greyhounds learn from this and move on, knowing that they wont face them or a team like them again until tourney time!

Sound asleep! I had minor surgery on my face and head [yeah, I know, those are two things you already think I needed corrected/improved] earlier that day, and I just simply fell asleep after I got back home - didn't wake up til 10:00 PM-ish.
I'll try to do better, but it's snowing - pouring down for the last hour or so - here in Ironton right now this morning.
Yes, it's a home game for Ironton tonight - but I hate to think about the Jackson team or fans to be traveling down and up a snowy Route 93 - that road is crummy enough dry and in daylight, never mind after dark and with snow on it!

The game for tonight has been cancelled and rescheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday).
Acording to WIROJason - and he ought to know!
