Re: Rock Hill vs. Fairland
Hope our boys regroup after the loss to Logan-Elm.
You need to play Rock Hill like you did Ironton. You gave Ironton all they could handle.
Good luck Dragons - bring home a win.

PROCTORVILLE — It really was the way coach Adam Simpson drew it up. He just wasn’t so sure it would work that well.
With Rock Hill trailing 55-54 with seven seconds to play, Simpson called a timeout and set up the final play. Sam Cooke, a 6-foot-10 center, got the ball and scored to give the Redmen a 56-55 upset win over the Fairland Dragons Wednesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
Herbie Butterbaugh made the inbounds pass to Jeremy Blagg who passed to Brandon Klaiber who threw the ball to Cooke who scored with 2.4 seconds left.
“It was a play we run in practice and in games and it never worked this well,†said Simpson. “But we made a couple of nice passes and executed it well. Sammy was tripled teamed on the play, but he powered it in.â€
Rock Hill trailed 55-49 when Cooke scored and then Klaiber drained a big 3-pointer.
The Dragons — who were playing without point guard Cole Hatfield — then missed a shot and Rock Hill got the rebound with seven seconds to play.
“Klaiber’s shot was a clutch shot. We had good ball movement and he got open and hit the shot,†said Simpson.
“We were down six or seven and we just battled. I thought Blagg did a nice job handling the ball and making decisions.â€
Rock Hill (2-2, 1-0) took a 9-8 lead in the first quarter despite losing Cooke who sat out most of the first half after picking up three fouls in the opening stanza.
Adam Berry scored 10 of his 12 points and Tyler Godby added six more as Fairland took a 28-21 halftime lead.
Dustin Chandler scored 12 points and Cooke seven more as Rock Hill rallied to within 43-42 at the end of the third quarter. Aaron Salyers had all six of his points in the quarter.
Chandler had 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Redmen while Cooke finished with 17 points.
Berry led Fairland (1-2,0-1) with 12 points while Chris Ward and Godby had 10 each.

Re: Rock Hill vs. Fairland
Cole did some damage to his knee during the Athen's convo game.
Hope to have Cole back soon - he really is missed!
