Best players? Right from the getgo you would have to look at the starting 5 for Alexander and at least 3 if not 4 of VC ,s starters.

Ethan Allen
Dylan Guthrie
Jake Prater
Andy Grillo
It's hard to beat these four, as far as the TVC Ohio goes.

Barnhouse, Frost, Toller, Wells,Belpre has some studs, Point guard for Athens is good, Vinton County has some tough players, This is a pretty good league to watch

VC and Alex have to have the top dogs, but meigs and Belpre have some nice players aswell. I havent seen him play but from what I have read on here and heard Athens has a nice PG. It is nice to see some balance in the TVC this year. I will say that Dyl Guthrie from VC is a very solid player. In 3 games he has put up 22 vs Wellston, 14 vs Logan and 12 vs South Point. Also in 3 games VC has had 3 different scoring leaders. I feel VC and Alex have sooo much talent in there starting 5 that it will be hard to choose a "top player" from either of these teams, which may hurt them come MVP time.

Frank Valentour - Would have to be condisered for not only this thread but TVC-Ohio P.O.Y as well ... He's scored over 20 points and grabbed 10+ rebounds in all Athens' games this far ... Averaging a double-double usually deserves a little bit of credit I would think.

MEIGS . Jacob Well's attitude will be the thing that holds him back . Clay Bolin , once healthy , will be on this list. He has been out with a broken wrist.

So Shooter, with those picks, VC should win the TVC Ohio easily. They have, in your opinion, the 4 best players in the division. Are you standing by that?

At what point in my post did I say they weren't good players or that they weren't home grown? The topic is "Best Players" and Shooter mentioned 4 players from VC. I simply stated that if they have the 4 best players in the league that VC should roll through the division. I agree they are good players, just wouldn't list them as the 4 best.

Competitor, Good post1 Its very easy to look at the top teams in standings and say " They must have the best players". While those top teams probably do have some of the best players, they most likely dont have them all. I would rather have 5 good, solid starters that know each other well than I would 2 " superstars " that have no quality backup or a decent supprting cast.
