SOC 1-Travis Bradford (East)HAs always impressed me the way he gets his kids to play even if there down on talent.
SOC 2-Tom Barrick (Burg)-Norm Persin (Oak Hill) Tie-Just look at these guys accomplishments.
TVC- Jeff Caldwell-(Southern)might be a little Bias as I don't get to see alot of other coaches out of this league but I've watched Coach Caldwell coach for years and know he is an excellent coach, also Howie Caldwell at Eastern Meigs is up there.
SVC- Since Larry Jordan's gone I'll go with Coach Uhrig at Huntington they always seem to find a way to win even when you think there going to be down.
There are alot of good coaches in the area and I think we in Southern Ohio are very lucky to have the quality coaching for the kids in our area.

In the TVC it has to be Jim Derrow. He's won numerous league titles and has had several nice tournament runs. He's coached against some great players, too. Lebron James to name one.

Since when did getting thumped by a team with a great player make you a good coach? As for TVC coaches, I have to hand it to Koondogger. I mean he came into the season with you people laughing about him losing his best player ( the giant russian). Now he is undefeated in the league. Don't know about Jeff Caldwell yet, but his dad Howdy up at Eastern hasn't won a league title in 8 or 9 years, even though many have said he had the best players. So I don't think we can crown him the best right now. So I still say Koondogger. :122245

The best coaching staff in the TVC is Caldwell, Weber, and Baum at Eastern.

Brian Cory is best coach in SVC - his staff is young but he is doing a great job at Adena.

SOC- Tom Barrick, hands down. Look at the wins, winning pct, tournament record (who else in Southern Ohio has went to 3 Final Four's), D-I players... the list goes on.

Another reason Coach Barrick is a success is he surrounds himself with great people. Ken Massie, Brian Oakes, Dusty Spradlin (former assistant, now the girls coach) are excellent coaches in their own right and Barrick relies on them heavily. These three coaches, in some combination, have been apart of each of Barrick's staff since he became the head coach at the 'burg in 1995.

Wheelersburg hands down has the best coaching staff...Tom Barrick, if Im not mistaken, owns Stormin Norman head-to-head but they both deserve hall of fame status. Ken Massie was the Assistant Coach of the Year...somebody recognized his abilities(might I add that he is 2-0 all-time as a head coach...that is a 100% winning percentage :122245). Oakes and Spradlin are great in their own right.

Barrick, Oakes, and Spradlin can still play bball themselves...it's only natural for them to succeed at coaching

I agree. We had many "battles" during the summer and after practices. Oakes is deadly from 15-18 feet. I'm glad to know Spradling doesn't coach like he plays or every one of his girls would foul out in the first quarter  !!

Just what has Norm done in the SOC??? Has he won a title yet??? Has he ever even been to a Final 4???

He may get his first SOC title this year, but I wouldn't count out Tom Barrick and his Pirates just yet.
