Meigs would not allow a principal to referee a game. This is a total conflict of interest and you would think Scott Wolfe would understand this being a former coach, but I guess if you are looking to make some extra bucks it doesn't matter. Memphis Raines says it is only a "JV game." Then why did Wolfe eject the Meigs JV coach if was "just a JV game?" The outcome of the game probably would have been a Southern victory anyway, so why not get someone who doesn't have a clear conflict of interest. Wolfe officiating games is totally unethical. I would hope some people at Southern would have some sense and address the school adiministration to stop this from happening agan...oh, wait... Wolfe is the administration!

First of all no one cussed at the kids. The problems is Big Bad Meigs got beat by Little old Southern. Suck it up. Like what was said at the game " quit crying and whinning" that was it. Second we tried to scrimmage and/or have a 7-7 and we was always told they couldn't do it. I don't know any athlete that didn't take a little crap. Thats part of the game.

I have stayed clear of posting for a long time but I have to interject my knowledge to this subject. #1 - Scott Wolfe is just the elementary school principal. #2 - He knows the game. #3 - He would not eject a coach for doing nothing. When a coach mouths a ref and gets out on the floor as far as that coach did he deserved it. #4 - Meigs has used school employees to officiate games. (Logan/Foster just ones I can think of) Many schools do this, is it right - probably not. However, please don't think all of southerns fans are this way. You know Meigs has those same jerk fans, as well as, all the other schools. This game is over and I feel everyone should drop the trash and stop running our youth down (that means both sides.) Let's

Well "SeoBasketballFan" AKA Mr. Bennie Ewing nobody cussed at any of your players. The only thing said to CB was to quit crying and whinning about the foul that was called on him. The reason why we were laughing was he told DT l"eave him alone" , and also said "your like 50 and I'm a teenager". We was laughing because he called DT a 50 year old. This has got blown out of proportion. For you to call me a what you did, hey thats fine. The only reason all the Meigs people are having a fit is because you lost. You have more talent on that team than any team in the area, but its the ME SHOW. So pop that silver spoon out and coach your boys. One other thing about football, don't get that started, you would beat our ass. You have 3 times as many players as we do. Gook luck the rest of the year !!!

this ain't about football. meigs has a football coach who is liked and respected by everyone. he is 1 class act.
that is not the way basketball is tho. we got us a coach who is meigs answer to no loss left behind. a jv coach who has never played basketball except on the street. you can't teach what you ain't got or don't know. saying that ewing nor halley can't teach class, intelligence, how to rebound,or how to win. you have to know how to play winning ball. they don't. they coach a style that they saw on tv win, the globetrotters.
meigs should have let them go and kept hill.

- As for the coach in the front row... I sat at an angle which I could see the conversation between him and the Bolin boy. I knew it would get all blown out of proportion. I never saw Coach curse, he was just trying to irritate the kid, which people do in every gym. If I was a parent of that Bolin kid I'd discipline him for his mouth.... wow!

- And to the Southern basketball team.... keep on rollin', you guys look great. This game was a true example of hard work beating talent.

I am not saying that Meigs' behavior or attitude was perfect at the Southern game...far from it. However, when a grown adult think it is appropriate or "fun", to attempt to "irritate" or get in the head of a kid during a game is absolutely inexcusable. Kids will be malicious to other kids and that is one thing but for an adult to mess with a kid...that is horrible. If it were my kid, I would be furious.

yes, this happens in every gym. but it usually comes from the student section, not from responsible adults, much less coaches.
