That's what I was saying and they jumped all over me for it. We have plenty of talented teams in southeast Ohio (Ironton, Logan Elm, Alexander, Chillicothe), why not get some of these teams?

I think Chillicothe is in the event. I think they are playing Mt Zion from NC.

Jackson and Athens are probably to help attendance like JJ said.

I looked up Consortium Preps record and they are 7-1 have beat Toledo catholic Central and North Canton Hoover from Ohio. Tough match for Wellston.

You need to get a life Spartan everybody is a joke if there not from Alexander tell me how many times they have won the T.V.C. IN THE LAST TEN YEARS seems to me Vinton County owns you "hard to swallow " get used to it there is more to come.

National???? I hope the two teams coming from out of state were paid to come. This doesn't represent the area very well as far as basketball with teams like jackson, wellston, athens. Not saying they can't be good upcoming years but coaches have been around a while and can tell what kinda of talent you will have from year to year.
This tournament needs to go back to columbus and hire some promoters and put on a great showcase not this side show...... Just a fundraiser for wellston to get some money. If that is the case Derrow is a genius, because I know that gym will be full just to see the out of state teams have one heck of a practice!!

What are the records of all the teams playing in this event? I know Jackson and Wellston are struggling? It looks like the Chillicothe/Mt. Zion game might be the only game worth watching. I agree with some of the others on here. If you are want the tournament to be good and draw bigger crowds, get some of the better local teams to compete. Coach Derrow might have tried doing this though. I don't know. However, you would get better attendance if you had better teams playing in it.

that is correct I have gone every year for the last 5 or 6 but the lack of games and lack of interest of those games, I will save my money. I am not alone in this thinking I look for there not to be allot of outsiders watching these games. Mostly just the teams fans....

Everybody has there opinion on how this should be ran. I'm sure Coach Derrow and Gabriel, would appreciate some help and volunteers in this event. It takes a lot of time to put this together. And while your hating on it, go ahead and step up and throw some sponsor money in too!

wellston will no longer be playing detroit consortium .. mt zion cancelled last minute to cause a change in schedule.. chillicothe will play detroit now while I'm not sure who wellston will pick up to try an fill the schedule last minute.
