Re: NEW BOSTON @ GREEN
The young Cats get their first win tonight, 76-64. Both teams played HARD for 32 min. On 3 different occasions in the last 3 quarters the Cats jumped out to 12, 14, and 12 point leads only to see NB battle back to within 2, 2 and 1. The Cats didn't get too rattled and handled the Tigers pressure well. Both teams struggled from the field and NB couldn't buy a free throw down the stretch. Congrats to Coach Fraley on getting his first varsity win.
Green's JV also won by about 16 or so.

The Fire is back in the Furnace! Kids played harder than they had all year. I think all the crap is over and these guys are gonna play ball.

Congrats to Green on their first win. Poor New Boston. Green had a varsity and JV squad. Were there any new additions to their roster?

Congrats to the Cats. The kids{and coaches} were really into it last night from start to finish.Lots of youthful mistakes made but that will improve with good pratices and hard work .Good luck @ Coal Grove tonight and play {and coach}hard.

I would think a lot of this has to do with two teams being 0-8 and a chance to win a game which is good and what both teams need at this point. The youthful mistakes were happening before and will probably continue as they are learning. We will see about the coaching with a more competitive team to battle.I wish both teams success.Sports is an amazing thing that it sometimes brings out the worse in people and the competitiveness in others

We basically have the same thing a West right now as far as youth goes with the exception of the Bricker kid and he is a nice player.

Again I say, if Pollard plays Green's program will have it an even lower bottom. No way you allow a kid on a team that disrepected the coach(regardless of whether or not the parents or community supported the coach). If Green allows this, they will NEVER get a reputable coach to take over this program.

Re: NEW BOSTON @ GREEN
I think the decision to bring anyone back will be the coaches and the teams. The JV games are back on and the team has some much needed fire. I think the Bobcats are 1-0, not 1-8.
