Re: Portsmouth 66 South Point 61
a win is a win, but we sure tried to give this game away in the 4th.
I think we was up 12,and let S P go on a 12 0 run to tie it,and actualy ended up winning it at the free throw line.
south poiunt has some great shooters that are deady inside the arch.
Wiliams for Portsmouth scored 27, Horne had 9, Jacob Stevens had 11 or 12, and Im pretty sure Johnson was in double figures as well, Not sure about Bendolphs points, but he came up biug with the foull shots in the end.
Now on to Chillicothe on tuesday

Re: Portsmouth 66 South Point 61
Portsmouth survived a furious late rally by a good South Point team to push their record to 7-5........Andrew Bendolph was OUTSTANDING in the clutch from the free throw line, and as Tobias said was 10 for 10 at the charity stripe........Anthony Williams made a couple clutch free tosses as well........one very positive note about this game was that Portsmouth was 16-20 from the stripe..........
Williams once again played his usual solid game, with 27 points, and several of his buckets came from short range jumpers, including a 3 pointer. This kid can play COLLEGE BASKETBALL FOR SOMEONE!!!
Glad to see Andrew Bendolph have a good game........we have a much better chance of winning when Andrew scores double digits...he scored 15 last night........Jacob Stevens had a good night as well, tallying 11 points, while Tory Horne missed having double figures for only the second time all year, scoring 9 points.......he did knock down a couple of 3's early in the game to get the Trojans offense going.
South Point has a nice ball club.......they are balanced inside and out, and #10(name escapes me) made a number of nice drives to the bucket. I think he was the Pointers' leading scorer. I thought Chase Kratzenburg's 3 pointer with less than a minute to go was good........but it spun out.......it would have given SP the lead.......
Good to see the Trojans get a win, and win it in the clutch at the free throw line.......something that they may have to do in the tournament.
Portsmouth is now 5-0 in non-conference play, having beaten teams in 3 different leagues.......the OVC, SOC, and the SCOL.
The all-time win total for Portsmouth is now 1,285......vs. 643 losses............

Re: Portsmouth 66 South Point 61
No longer on the team from what I hear. Of course it's what I "heard" which would constitute a rumor, but figure someone might as well throw it out there.*
Re: Portsmouth 66 South Point 61
Art you heard right, I will not go into why, but he is no longer on the team.
I wish Nate nothing but the best, at Penn State.
